Good morning All, One of the things that nobody seems to have mentioned in the Branscombe/Battenburg saga is that, from what I have seen, Branscombe Tape is narrower and finer, and has no gathering thread along the edges. You have to either ease the tape round corners or put in a gathering

Hi Liz - I agree with you that Branscombe Point and Battenberg are different, and you're right that there is more variety in the fillings. My impression is that Pranscombe Point lace is more compactly filled, and that the tapes tend to be narrower, giving an overall appearance of a more refined
