I think welding is the English expression for overlapping pieces of lace. Sewing and mounting is making the laceon the fabric. Something got lost in the translation! Mrs Leplat-Greiner usually teaches ' Sewing and mounting of lace' - so I guess wleding is meant to be 'joining' Milada, Somerset UK
