Hi Ruth!
That's a very good question for you to be asking if you're wanting to
learn Bucks!! You should check with LacySusan (www.lacysusan.com) or
with Holly Van Sciver (www.vansciverbobbinlace.com). They both carry
it. It is an excellent book for beginners to Bucks Point, and will take

an ornament in a little booklet that the Lace Guild (The Hollies) had last year
for sale or am I dreaming. Maybe this is what you are talking about. Then I

the variations and there is nothing of our websit

curiosity is really piqued. Where can one obtain a copy of this book?
Thanks.

I haven't been able to find any web sites for the "Posh Bags" people, but I do
own one of their bobbin bags and a pillow bag. I find the pillow bag a little
large, so don't use it much for carrying my pillow around, just to keep it
clean in the house, however I LVE the bobbin bag a

Hello Ilse,
you will find Mechelen lace-teachers at Bruges. And I am sure also
elsewhere in Belgium or the Netherlands.
Barbara Fay in the north of Germany has nearly all books which are
avaible in all traditional laces. At the moment there is only one in
her catalogue but if you wrote there

Dear fellow lace makers,
I have just joined this list but I like the information I am getting.
I hope one of you can help me. I live in a town called Mechelen (Malines)
in Belgium. In the 1600s the lace made in my town was considered as one of
the best in the then known world. The British poet
I admire the idea, Aurelia, of making 9 jabots for judges of the Supreme
Court. I hope that it comes to fruition.
May I suggest that when the jabots have been made that they be given to
the Supreme Court for use by the Judges & not as personal gifts. That
way the jabots can be used in perpetui
