[lace] posting issues and a new lace adventure
Something I just discovered, is that when I have added Jeri’s e-mail address to the contacts section on the Gmail website interface, I finally started receive her e-mails again! I have tried a hundred other things, and I still do not think Gmail should ban any e-mails from AOL when the address is not in contacts, especially since I do not automatically know who it is we are not receiving e-mails from! I did complain to Gmail about it, but I do not expect that to make much of a difference. I guess I should check the archives to see if I can identify any others. I did miss Jeri’s informative e-mails, and I have this feeling I am missing some others that I used to see on an almost regular basis. I have started on a new lace adventure in this new year. I taught myself to shuttle tat. Or maybe I should say I am working on teaching myself to tat, and it has been fun so far, I have learned lots of different parts of tatting, rings chains, split rings, joins, picots and double stitch of course. When I get my first piece finished I will post a picture. Re: [lace] Arachne Commems
I must have missed something. I would also be interested in 2 bobbins and a shuttle. At this point in my life Arachne is my lifeline to the lace world. I have 4 kids ages 8 and below, and life is just plain crazy. I love lace, but do not have the peace of mind or time to sit down for even 30 minutes and work some wonderful, iterating lace. I mostly knit right now, because that I can put down at any moments notice, if necessary in the middle of a stitch, and pick back up just as quick. I am sure this is a matter of experience, I have 30+ years of knitting experience, and only discovered lace 12 or so years ago, just before I started having children. My poor pillow has been shamefully quiet for way to long. But that is a long story, just to say that I love Arachne, and greatly appreciate all the great conversation and information. But I just do not have much to contribute… Cindy from Dallas, TX, USA knittingyards.wordpress.com On Mar 25, 2015, at 7:27 PM, Noelene Lafferty noel...@lafferty.com.au wrote: Thanks to all who have replied to me, letting us know an idea of how many bobbins/shuttles might be involved. Re: [lace] AOL emails others
I had to set up a rule on the gmail website interface that anything that has [lace] in the subject line, should never go into the spam folder. So far so good. Vicki's message indeed did go to my inbox. Before that I also had to check the spam folder several times a day, because it would receive the messages from the AOL and Yahoo e-mail addresses.
