Re: [lace] Holiday Ornament Exchange
Congratulations Anna and thank you for the update. I took part in exchanges a few years and it was fun. Happy lacemaking. I think the exchange on facebook was set up separately following a disagreement over who was to organise. This happened 3 or 4 years ago (maybe more) and was enough to put me off the whole idea. [lace] Holiday Ornament Exchange
Hello All! Now that the dust has cleared & the holiday hoopla is nearly over, did anyone else miss our Annual Arachne Holiday Ornament Exchange? When I searched the archives, I couldn’t find any posts for this year! The last time I corresponded with our “exchange coordinator”, she was working thru major health & housing issues in the summer. There’s been no correspondence since then. Is this a good time to discuss what Arachne members want to do going forward? And if we decide to continue our exchanges, to seek a volunteer if our former coordinator is no longer willing/able? Any thoughts? Re: [lace] Holiday ornament exchange
Hi All, I am the lucky recipient of a beautiful tatted snowflake from Sue Duckles. It is entwined at the edge (I don't actually know how to describe it) with sparkly beads too. What a treat!! Thanks Sue, yours from me got in the mail last Wednesday so I hope it doesn't take too long to get there! [lace] Holiday ornament exchange
Oh My--just when I needed it the most--a fabulous green lace wreath with red beads from Dawn P. in a very special card. The wreath is a combination of green threads, matte & metallic, in a very clever fan design with zigzagging red seed beads. The card has an arched insert that is stamped & hand colored. It is lovely--Thank you! Even my husband remarked that I must display it in its entirety so it's now resting in the breakfront behind glass. I hope she received mine even though it is not nearly as nice. Egad, I need more classes! Happy Holidays to All!
