Interesting idea - Let me try if this works first.

Hi,
I have a linux fileserver on my local network which (besides other things)
serves as p2p machine. The network is connected to the internet through a
hardware ADSL (512/256) router.
What happens now is that my SSH and webtraffic (from other machines)
becomes bogged down when loads of up-
Hi,
There have been a number of threads lately discussing IMQ's stability
(or lack thereof). I am about to roll out a new router and I quite
badly need IMQ's functionality. This is a production environment,
though, and random panics of course aren't acceptable.
My question is are there any
I'm investigating other approaches to managing the very little,
extremely over-used pipe we have feeding the residences of our small
campus.
Previously, I simply allotted them 2Mbit (there are about 100 users,
some full-time users, most not), and did a number of prioritizations to

Hi Jason, right now I don't think anybody can assure stability on IMQ.
My experience is that IMQ works fine in my enviroment that is a 2.4.23
PPPoE concentrator with ~70 users... It is up and running for more then
a month without any problems.
What I would suggest you is to make some stability
One of the goals is that heavy users (basically p2p users) shouldn't be
able to ruin it for the others. The average user should never have to
sit and wait for 5 seconds while google loads, or get 4000ms pings to an
upstream router.
Well, again someone struggeling p2p and it's side effects.
I have noticed in quite a few examples that you should be able to use multiple U32
match statements. I get an error each time. Is it the version of TC I have? How can I
tell the version. (RH 9.0. iproute2-ss010824)

I am attempting to build a Linux replacement for our Packeteer PacketShaper using HTB.
Everyone is behind the firewall in a 10.0.0.0/8 network. Each property that we provide
service to has it's own B-class network over a full T-1 point-to-point connection.
That can then be separated into class

Hello!
I have set up a LINUX router with two seperate uplinks to do load
balancing. I made all the configuration after the NANO-HOWTO to use
more than one independent Internet connection document. I patched my

HI,
I have a Off topic question about this.

Can you tell me a URL or how-to about this ?
