install.pl line 396 the image file in the destination is deleted to
avoid overwriting the target of symlinks.
So IMHO you should run
./configure --prefix=/data01/LaTeX2HTML/latex2html-99.2beta8 again in your
home dir.

the ALT text in the IMG-tag. It is
really so, that the content of img50.png and img35.png are identical. (I had
a look with CorelPhotoPaint.)
I'll need to do some testing and devise a fix for this.
