Thanks for the pointers, Ross. I finally got it somewhat figured out :)
The program pnmtopng from netpbn.10.29 was dumping core. I have no idea
why, but I grabbed 10.30, compiled and installed and all is now well.

Thx for your answer.
1. Yes all the images is .ps types (except some small math like symbols in the
document like - who also get converted).
2. I'm running l2h on a HPUX 11.00.
I've got some tips to increase the $PAPERSIZE, and I'll try that.
