I understand that my installation of latex2html is not properly configured.
There is no configure script and no Makefile in the installation directory. Do
you have suggestions how to finish the configuration properly?

I made a copy of html.sty inside the same directory as the latex source file,
so this is not the problem any more.

i've been trying for days to produce a gif for X^m_n where X is [A-Z] or
[a-z]. latex2html (98.1) process my .tex file with no problem it just
doesn't make the gif. i also noticed that images.tex was not being produced.
