I have not been doing much else in this area. Started with standard

I am fully in agreement with Graeme. Have given up working
with Lazarus (I'm now only a hobby programmer) because of
the constant changes and inconsistencies. In old age, I prefer
stability.

Greetings,
Just returning to Lazarus after 6 months or so on
other projects. Am running Laz 1.2.4 on Linux MX-14, which
is a development on AntiX , - based on Debian stable.
MX-14 has presented only one real problem so far, no hassles

Should we 'can' it? Or shouldn't (should not) we? :-)

Thank you Péter, that is the thing that has me puzzled. I believed
that I had not previously installed Lazarus on this HDD partition, for
use with a new installation of MX14-2. Will delete it all and reformat
as there must be something remaining on the disk.

Hi to all,
I am currently testing Lazarus 1.2.2 on MX-14, a light
version of Linux developed from Antix. We have 1.2.2 in the
MX testing repository and will probably update to 1.2.4 when
moving it to the main repo. So far, the tests look good.
I see a few references to Laz 1.3
Thanks Michael,
Will go ahead with 1.2.4

Mattias,
This is the version packaged in the repository for the Kubuntu
version I am using. A straight download and install.
Yes it is old, repository packages tend to be behind the times. I will
install a newer version later today, but doubt if it will make any
difference
in this case.
Several days ago I posted a request about filing conventions, a
request that had no response. I am asking this again, as I am having
file access problems. Am attempting to use Lazarus on Linux, specifically
Kubuntu 12.04.
Having set a separate folder for this, my first Lazarus project, all
Is there any convention or preferred system for
the saving of Lazarus project work files in Linux? I am
quite happy about developing my own filing rules and
setting the Lazarus Environment appropriately, but if
there already an established convention, then I will
use it.
Thanks,
Gordon.

HI Reinier,
Many thanks for that Tutorial. I was going to look for
something similar today. It answers most of my possible questions
about developing dbf's in Lazarus.
