Hi,
I have noticed a few duplicates resourestrings that have the same

Hiya Graeme
What language are you translating to ? Afrikaans ?
I started on one a LONG time ago - but never had the time to finish it.
If so, I'll be happy to help out where I can, let me know.

Hi A.J.
Yes, Afrikaans it is! I decided to make a conscious effort to improve
my Afrikaans. I feel patriotic lately. :-)
All changes to the IDE has already been done, so Afrikaans appears in
the language dropdown and it recognised the *.af_ZA.po files.
Now all that remains is translating the
Ok will do. Do packages share the IDE's resource strings, or do they
have their own. As far as I can tell, they seem to use the IDE's
resource strings, which makes life much easier.

Why not just *.af.po? Are there other (incompatible) version of
Afrikaans besides af_ZA?

Help would be great. I am sure I will get stuck on some programming
terms. It would be nice if I could email someone regarding those.
Thanks for the offer.
Absolutely, mail me anything you would like advice/discussion on :)

Why not just *.af.po? Are there other (incompatible) version of
Afrikaans besides af_ZA?
Surprizingly yes :) There are six official af locales:
af_ZA
af_NA (Using N$ as currency for example)
af_BW (Currency BWP - uses French-style date writing)
etc. etc. for Southern Africa, they are close but
I was wondering about that myself, then I found in the Linux locale
directory a refernce to en_ZA and af_ZA (English and Afrikaans). Also
from a country point of view AF is for Afghanistan. See

So to be save, I thought I would use af_ZA so there

I build a little application that I would like to deploy by the web.
I compiled both on Windows and Linux. For the Windows application I used

And for Linux?
How can I know which libraries my application needs
Hi,
Attached is a patch that must be applied from the root Lazarus
directory. After this patch the localize scripts need to be run, to
update all the .po files.

* Removed a lot of duplicate resource strings throughout the IDE.
A lot more to follow shortly!
* Added

Most known errors are also reported on http://bugs.gentoo.org, you often also find there a solution for a problem.
But I don't think it is a big problem. On all my PCs here, where I installed Lazarus (AMD64, PPC, a few x86),

can use 'ldd binary', it will show you a list of all linked

It depends on the LCL-Interface, you use. If you choosed GTK1, then the

Most of the libs listed there are on mostly all Linux distributations

Hi,
i have problems porting some components from Delphi/Kylix to Lazarus.
There is a class that interfaces the IDE so you can interact with it.
My question is which class in Lazarus coresponding to the

Why this pixbuf is needed ?
To load and handle images.
It's not a common package as I see.
But it is common as I see it, as it has AFAICR been on my system since RedHat
6.0. But AFAIK it is gtk-1.2 specific and not needed in gtk-2.x.
Any way
