Hello LEAF-ers,
I want to sniff the interfaces on my LEAF-WRAP box (using a pipe
redirected ssh stream) but need a shell login.
Dropbear/ssh runs the lrcfg script automatically which interferes with
this process. How can I turn this off ?
Thanks,
Robert

How do I force use of public key authentication using dropbear? I can do
this with OpenSSH but can't find any examples of dropbear config files
anywhere on the 'net... Currently using Bering uClibc 2.4 beta.

Hi,
Does the dropbear lrp not honor keys in authorized_keys?
I placed a public key in /etc/dropbear/authorized_keys but it's not working,
it still requests password.
Where can I configure this?
Thanks

Hi,
I tried several things to get Dropbear server (on buc 2.2.3) and
OpenSSH (3.8.1p1) client on Debian desktop computer running with
public key auth. But I had no luck.
Login via password auth is working with this configuration.
The dropbear host keys on the router are generated with
I tried to contact my Bering -uClib_2.1 firewall from a winXP system
with the ssh-client 'bitvise Tunnelier'. However, although the
connection seems to be accepted (it says i the log 'password accepted')
no connection is possible.
With another Linux system (Fedora 2.6) connection is no problem.

I seem to be missing the scp binary in my particular dropbear.lrp. I'm
using version 0.38 of dropbear. Any ideas on what to do? Is it as simple
as grabbing a new lrp for dropbear or would I have to replace keys, etc?
Thanks.

HI AGAIN,
I am new to LEAF and have just got my Leaf system running.
However, I have been reading about dropbear, dropbearkeys, and SSH and it seems if
these have to do with some sort of remote admin packages. Am I right? Is there some
good beginer information you could point me to to read
Today we received an update of dropbear to v 0.43 fixing potential security
problems.
The new lrp is in cvs:

To update your dropbear version:
1) scp the new dropbear.lrp to your boot media's root.

Thanks for your reply, Ray. I got it fixed. Turns out it must have
been a bad dropbear.lrp package. I installed Bering-uClib 2.1 and
everything worked fine. I tried to post this information to the list,
but my address change has messed me up a bit.I am going to try to copy
it again.
Thanks
anyone know if dropbear should do ssh tunnelling? it does NOT appear to be able, so
next question is has anyone compiled lshd for uclibc v2? or am i stuck with the
mammoth (relatively!) sshd?
thanks!
