I have Bering booting off of compact flash. I have lots of extra
packages because of the extra space afforded. When I back up initrd.lrp
it gets totaly hosed and I have to copy a fresh one over to boot again.
Has anyone seen or fixed this problem?

Why would you leave it mounted except when copying files or loading
programs? Even if you boot off CD, it is wise to not leave it mounted.
