I think you're confusing purchase price with sales price.
Let's say a company buys 3 widgets at 15 USD and 1 at 20 USD and sells
the 4 widgets for 25 USD each, it would then make 10 USD on 3 widgets

to Equity, so we end up with:

You only get Assets:Checking because Assets:Checking and Assets are
the same in your case. You'd get Assets as a separate line if you had
multiple sub-accounts within Assets.
You could also use --depth 1 to just get Assets but then you don't see
details for sub-accounts.

format for financial data is OFX. It would be great if ledger could
