I'd love to know how much we got for him. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks for sending that.
What a goal by McCormack! Obvious foul by Becchio, but a brilliant finish.
It was funny how Becchio picked the ball out of the net after the first
goal and it looks like Diouf is trying to fight him for it for a second.
Good finish as well from Becchio for #3. Their third
I love Colin.
Talks straight, talks sense, talks Yorkshire.
Proud to have him. I think he's going to be a legend.
If only that Bastard Bates the MS would fall off his perch.

I have to defend my namesake, and point out that he hasn't actually got

That is pretty amazing, he must have been pulled up 3 or 4 times by the ref
yesterday.

I disagree. Compared with other clubs' official commentators, the Leeds guys
are very objective. Here in the States I often get the official Arsenal, Man
U and Chelsea commentaries on satellite radio, and they are so one-sided that
it's hard to know how the game is really going. The one thing

Maybe you're younger than me (in fact you are almost certainly younger than
me!), but I still yearn for proper commentary along the lines
ofBremner has the ball halfway inside his own half, plays it
out to Lorimer on the right, Reaney overlaps and Lorimer chips it into the
corner. He's
No disagreement there. I grew up on Radio Two European Soccer Special on
Wednesday evenings, with Alan Parry et al doing just the sort of excellent work
you've re-imagined below.

I sincerely doubt it, he's publicly stated on numerous occasions that he will

Not sure that he's good enough, or can stay away from injuries.
If we have signed him, it better be a pay as you play deal.

hope Rich W has calmed down after yesterday's game/Annabel Croft/and the
adrenlin rush that led to that deluge of emails...not much to add to his match
reports and all that, except:
- too harsh on Peltier/too easy on Diouf for that first half hour performance -
Diouf was right side midfield and
Interesting take on Diouf. Having seen the replays you may have a point,
however as captain and experienced right back I don't think my mate Pelts
should get caught so far up the pitch and rely on a slacker like Diouf to get
back.
Annabel Croft - must have been that 2 bottle of wine that

I never really rated Owen as highly as he was rated by everyone else.
He's more than good enough for us though (just not the player you
could win the premier league or world cup with).

Not a joke.
The Michael Owen of 1999 I would welcome.
The Michael Owen that has only played 102 games in the past 7 years, only
scoring 31 goals in that time I don't think is good enough.
There are obvious fitness and match fitness issues, not to mention the wages
he'd be on and the attention
The reason why no one is in for him is becasue he's at the end of his career,
only played brief cameos for Man Utd when he was there and when he was there in
the last season or 2 he only scored against lower league teams.
He's specifically stated he wants to play here, he won't drop down the
There are questions in the football world over whether he still has the desire
and the motivation. The word is (based on an article I read recently) that he's
only interested in playing football in order to fund his horse racing business.

I disagree.
Thom Kirwin, yes I think he's ok. I like to listen to Eddie but I'm afraid he's
just a bag of contradictions and he says some ridiculous stuff at times. I
think it's clear to see why he didn't make the big time as a manager.
Ian Dennis and Bryn Law have both gone on to great things from local
Ian Rush did bugger all (for us), Robbie Fowler did bugger all (for us),
guessing Owen would do less tbh and he clearly is only interested in money
otherwise he would be running around somewhere scoring goals for fun, too much

Do you really give a shit about radio commentators? Just as long as they tell
us when someone scores, They could make up the rest and I wouldn't care. In
fact, better if they did make it up. Better if we lived under the illusion that
we would run rings round Barcelona, but got unlucky. Or if
