Oh man! RIP Dave. A man who lived life to the full - a true inspiration. So
many hilarious stories from his travels. Never let the Lards down. I
remember him jumping off his bike and straight on the pitch in 'dam ;-)

RIP mate, if
Sad to hear this. I met Dave many years ago at World Net. I can't remember if I
knew about his toe in advance or if I learnt about it there but I do remember
wondering how it would affect him walking considering the amount of work your
big toe actually does.Dave was delighted to show me his

The LeedsList has lost a great stalwart in Dave Dowden. Made an absolute
legend of himself at Worldnet when my brother Jim and I attended way back
in... was it 1999 ... in Adel? Apart from his antics, he also formed part of
the backbone of this list, which still goes strong to this day.
That's exactly what I was (less well done as yourself) trying to say with my
post Ian. Essentially we may not know each other but we do know each other,
albeit virtually. It is therefore still just as sad and upsetting if one of
that group passes away., as it is in real life. RIP Dave from all

I remember Dave from the couple of blurry Worldnet weekends.
What a sad loss for the world. He will be missed by many.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the loss to the list, Leeds United
and, most importantly, his family, Dave Dowden. I did not know Dave personally
and to my mind we never met, knowingly. I suspect we may well have met on one
or other Lards outings at the Worldnet tournament latterly

Thanks John,
A huge loss…any man that can negotiate years of parking at ER at the
