[LU] news of an old boy
Hull City: Robert Snodgrass fee agreed with Norwich Hull City have had a bid in excess of £6m for Scotland striker Robert Snodgrass accepted by Norwich City. Personal terms are yet to be agreed for the 26-year-old, who joined the Canaries from Leeds United in 2012. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18986870 Snodgrass, whose contract expires next summer, scored seven goals in 34 appearances last season as Norwich were relegated from the Premier League. Should the deal go through, he would be Hull's second summer recruit, after the club-record signing of Jake Livermore. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27957557 Midfielder Livermore, 24, joined the Tigers from Tottenham on Wednesday for a fee thought to be about £8m. Hull, who begin their debut Europa League campaign on 31 July, face promoted Queens Park Rangers in their first match of the new Premier League season on 16 August. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER

I wasn't excusing his actions. Biting is wrong. I was trying to understand why. Ayn Rand was a lunatic. On 26 June 2014 23:03, Ed Morrish edmorr...@gmail.com wrote: ...so... [LU] World Cup positive
Well after some initial reticence I'm thoroughly enjoying the World Cup and would agree with all the positive comments on here about it. My favourite team so far have been Chile - hard working, fabulous team ethic, skilled individually, and tough. I'd be more than happy to see them win. For me anyone but Argentina or Brazil. And one positive from the tournament is that watching it has rekindled my youngest son's interest in football. His interest in attending ER with me had all but disappeared over the last couple of seasons (not a surprise I suppose), but thanks to the World Cup that interest has now been rekindled, and we plan to go together next season. Yes I know the football at ER will be like watching Iran's C team, but hey, it's a positive outcome, and who knows how many more young supporters are brought into or back to the game after watch the World Cup? Re: [LU] World Cup positive
Interesting parallel David, as Cara has kind of got into the World Cup after showing zero interest in football ever. Will have to co-ordinate going to Elland Rd again - all 4 of us will go - I keep telling Trace that if I have to suffer, we all do :-) On Friday, 27 June 2014, 9:37, David Brennan d.r.bren...@leeds.ac.uk wrote: Well after some initial reticence I'm thoroughly enjoying the World Cup and would agree with all the positive comments on here about it. [LU] GBBF
Any of the usual suspects planning on a trip to the GBBF this year? http://gbbf.org.uk/ Guy? You working/attending? Jabba, Wiggy, Sarge, MattG? Any other southern based Listers up for it? I will be there being kept on the straight and narrow and escorted back to the train at the end of the day by the good lady wife for the session on Friday 15th August.
