Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
I'm enjoying reading the Smith debate. Totally agree with Ian. You can argue all day about the history of players that have moved between the clubs etc etc but it astounds me that some people can't understand hatred between teams and fans and think that it's acceptable for a Leeds lad to claim as if I 'd ever play for them when asked about a above to Scum. He then let us parade him around the pitch before f'ckin off to Old Trafford. A sick joke! and yes that's SCUM I'm referring to, the most hated club in Leeds and the world with the most arrogant set of shitheads that support them. I've been to Old Trafford shortly after Turkey and seen their lads with Gala tops on and then at Elland Road they unveiled the Istanbul Reds banner. Don't even talk to me about the Munich chants I don't give a fuck ! They're SCUM and Alex Ferguson is a first grade tosser. Rivalry and hate is what football is all about - if you lose that you lose everything I can never forgive Smith for leaving us to go join that shite. There's no valid argument to the contrary from any Leeds fan. Get a fucking grip Paul and Mark. I can't get my head round these stats.Snoddy had only 4 fewer shots than Becchio and had a larger percentage on target ,which brings them almost level for shots on target and yet Becchio got 19 goals compared to Snoddys 6Does this mean that Snoddys shots were mainly saved (shooting from too far out) yet when Becchio got it on target 2 out of 3 went in (19 from 30 on target)- maybe cos most were from a few yards out ? But we were fooled we were all let down badly when we realised. I've had few beers and red wines but I really feel strongly how he let us down. At least we now no know that he's just a pro-footballer nothing more, nothing less Forget all the Leeds lad crap, and if he comes back he shall be treated as such. Don't even talk to me about the Munich chants I don't give a fuck ! They're SCUM and Alex Ferguson is a first grade tosser. Rivalry and hate is what football is all about - if you lose that you lose everything I can never forgive Smith for leaving us to go join that shite. Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
I'm not bloody surprised he cried - he was probably the only one in the squad who had a wage cut clause in the event of relegation... Damian ;) PS I personally would welcome him back as I would most old/ ex Leeds players. Most but not all: Joe Jordan for example but not Gordon McQueen (what an appropriate name..;) On Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 11:27 PM, eric Barlier barl...@gmail.com wrote: the Alan smith that cried when we dropped own one league? so those were fake tears?! ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it)
Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
Pretty much. 2/3 of Snoddy's shots were from outside the box. Half of those were on target. 3 went in. Becchio only tried 9 times from outside, and missed all but one. Johnson had 32 shots from outside the box, of which a quarter were on target. Meanwhile, Mad Max tried 45 times and got 1/2 on target. Howson's well our best from range though... 60% of 25. - Si (This is the first year I've got proper data on Leeds at work... in the League 1 era, the PA just sent goals and cards). [LU] Johnson etc.
Just for the record, whichever player it was was on £4000, the club offered £7000 which is almost double the current salary and only when the agent asked for £11000, almost treble, was he told to get stuffed. Is anybody on the list going to double their salary this year, let alone treble it? ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it)
Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
I've had 60% before (60% of fck all). How many folk on the list are professional footballers? Terry, no doubt what you and I earn is a fortune to someone in Burkino Faso or wherever. It's all relative. If he couldn't get such a big rise elsewhere, he wouldn't ask for it. Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
Geez, neither Kilkenny or Johnson were able to help guide us to the promised land so I don't understand why some people are acting like we're losing Messi because we don't want to pay the wages or fees. I expect their replacements to be an improvement and come December or so we can all assess this point. I imagine Johnson will be warming the bench at Norwich while the club sits in the relegation zone and we will be flying high atop the Championship. Hope you're right mate but fear you're not. You only have to read what the chairman is saying about transfers!! Re: [LU] Johnson etc.
Apropos of nothing, of all our players who had 20 shots or more, accuracy-wise Kilkenny was 7th and Johnson 9th out of 9. In Norwich's team, Johnson would have come 8th out of 8. - SI On 10/06/2011 16:15, Mark Tuffey wrote: Geez, neither Kilkenny or Johnson were able to help guide us to the promised land so I don't understand why some people are acting like we're losing Messi because we don't want to pay the wages or fees.
