Dartford have equalised! Quite a few Dartford/Leeds fans in Dartford, incl. me. Darts have Charlie Sheringham, but they at one stage boasted 2 Leeds old boys - Jason Brown and Peter Sweeney!! And in charge of Havant today is none other than Ian Baird, formerly of this parish. He's their assistant manager, but is in charge today because their manager is serving a touchline ban. For those who care about the game (and you probably don't) Havant are 1-0 up at half-time, but are down to 10 men when a player swung his leg and didn't even connect with his intended target. Not proper violent conduct and very harsh in my view, even though it benefits the team I'm supporting. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist <https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist> To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ <https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/> Dorigo's Right Buttock... ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ Dorigo's Right Buttock...

Sol Bamba scored an excellent goal for Cardiff tonight, bringing the ball down on the edge of the area, then turning and hitting a perfect half-volley. I don't remember him ever doing that for us. Unfortunately, after tonight's results it looks very much like Cardiff are going to get promoted. Not just that Dave, he was a really average central midfield and the original 'Sunday Stroller'. He really rated himself and do you remember when he came out in the YEP to say he had worked out a plan and tactics to beat every team in the league. Hull City: Robert Snodgrass fee agreed with Norwich Hull City have had a bid in excess of £6m for Scotland striker Robert Snodgrass accepted by Norwich City. Former Leeds United man leaves the Beavers By Stuart Amos, from www.richmondandtwickenhamtimes.co.uk Hampton Richmond Borough boss Mark Harper has admitted it was as much a case of shape up or ship out, as it was the club could no longer afford striker Tresor Kandol. The former Leeds United front man was released by the club this week having barely played first-team football during his brief spell at the Beveree. The 28-year-old, who has a wealth of Football League experience under his belt, was a much-heralded signing when he pitched up at Station Road last month. But Hampton's money men finally pulled the plug on the agreement having failed to get a good enough return on their investment. If it was a case that he came here, was fit, banging in goals left right and centre and looking like the professional footballer he should, then I could justify the money, said Harper. The club wasn't in a position to sustain his wages. He has been superb for us but he has had his injury problems and hasn't met the club's expectations. He is not happy, but what can you do? That is football. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate

Ex-Leeds and Millwall man playing for a pittance By Tim Street, from www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk Tresor Kandol is so desperate to be playing football again he is only demanding a pittance from Hampton Richmond Borough. The former Leeds United, Millwall and Barnet striker signed for the club last Friday after being put in touch with Beavers boss Mark Harper by defender Malvin Kamara. And Harper allayed any fears that Hampton, who have twice have to slash their budget mid-season in recent years, are splashing the cash. He said: Tresor now has a career outside the game so has not asked for a lot of cash, he just wants to be playing again. He wants to keep it ticking over and has done me a favour, and hopefully we can do him one too. We're not in the position to spend big money anyway. Someone was saying on the fans' forum we should be giving younger players a chance instead, but they can learn a lot from Tresor, like his movement on the pitch and how he conducts himself off it. Tresor is just training with us at the moment as we have to wait 30 days for international clearance, but as he was playing in Spain last season and not this one we're hoping it can be fast-tracked. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate

Ian Baird's five-year reign as manager of non-League Blue Square Bet South club Eastleigh is over. Following a run of three straight defeats in the League, the ex-Southampton and Leeds United striker departed the club last night. A statement issued by Eastleigh said: Following a meeting at the Silverlake last night between manager Ian Baird and (owner/acting chairman) Stewart Donald it has been agreed that Ian will no longer be employed by Eastleigh as first team manager and has left the club with immediate effect. The Board thinks it very important to thank Ian for all his tireless efforts over the years. Ian has been a marvellous ambassador for the football club and has managed the team through some difficult circumstances during his tenure and has always acted in an extremely professional manner for the good of the club. We are certain Ian will be back in football very soon and wish him well for the future. The club is interviewing potential candidates for the position. In the interim, asistant-manager Shaun Wilkinson will take charge of the first-team squad. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate

Former Leeds Striker Joins Knitters Blue Square Bet North club Hinckley United have finally secured the signature of former Leeds United forward Simon Johnson. Johnson was at Leeds between 2000 and 2005 and made his Premier League debut in the 61 defeat of Charlton Athletic and totalling eleven senior appearances. He moved to Hereford via Darlington in August 2007 and was in the Bulls` team that won promotion to League One. After a spell at Halesowen Town, Johnson arrived at Solihull Moors in February 2010 for just six weeks before seeing out the season at Guiseley. His impact during those six weeks was immense the team was struggling at the foot of the table and a remarkable change in fortunes coincided with him leading the attack with some priceless goals. He returned to Moors early last season after a spell in Malta with Hibernians. Ha, well they're showing real adventure aren't they? I bet their fans are happy (Mind you, with that accent you can never tell!) To be fair to the Wolves board, the list of managers that they have tried to appoint in the last week (as catalogued on Sky Sports News just now) was quite extensive. The fans should probably be more embarrassed/worried that non of the people approached seemed to want the job! The six-foot plus keeper, who hails originally from Liverpool, has been cleared to play by his present club, United States Federation Club Richmond Kickers, where he is one year into a three-year contract. He will return back to them in time for their new season when their transfer window closes on the 16th of April. Bacup Borough Manager Brent Peters said: This loan move is ideal for all parties concerned, Richmond Kickers, Bacup Borough and Ryan himself. It is currently Richmond Kickers' close season, and it gives Ryan the chance to keep himself fit and ready to return for the start of their season. Ryan certainly does possess the profile and with it comes some Football League experience, and I am looking forward to Ryan making his debut which could be on Saturday. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
