Katherine,
I just looked a bit more closely at the Standard CNC upgrade manual
available on this page:
http://www.legacycncwoodworking.com/downloads/manuals/standard-cnc-upgrade/.
It looks like there is only one limit switch included. That is for the
A-axis. This is referred to on page 7. You
thanks Tracy for the limit switch info, when I look at the big red box,
there is no connectors left unused and all cables are connected to
something and even labled. if i take the red box apart I might find the
motor controller board has open leads available to plug in the limit switch
Katherine,
You can certainly run it without the limit switches but I would be nervous.
It's a great failsafe in case something is coded or set up wrong.
For example, you could accidentally reset the X,Y zero point. That would
mean the edges for the X and Y would be off. If this happened, the
Quick question bought it for 1800cdn so $5.00 usd is that a reasonable
price?

Question... In picture you might have noticed no proximity switches is this
a common setup with the standard cnc LOM. Is just running with soft limits
from within mach3 acceptable?

Hello Allan and or Katherine.
Welcome to the group. There are quite a few people in our group who know and use
the CNC versions of the Legacy Ornamental mill. I hope you can find the info.
that you seek here. I am also happy for you that you found your mill, I wish
you luck on your projects,
really! The fellow who i purchased it from found it in the back of a
machine shop that sells CNC equipment (bandsaws routers etc.) the machine
shop had it as a demo and never did anything with it. he ended up not
doing anything either with it so he listed it and I bought it. I have been
