Thanks again Mike I am going senile (or have gone ) Managed to shift the leadscrew to the left. The fault was the reversing plate it was upside down and inside out It came like that when I bought it See pic. one All is now working o.k. Also thanks for putting up how to crank index. Printed off

Hello Richard The small reversing shaft uses the 45 tooth gear. For right hand twist on the main lead screw I assemble the 45T then the big washer, then the drive gear I will be using, 60T, then another flat washer and then set it all tight with the Allen screw and washers or handle. When
