The sources are grouped in alphabetical order by this nickname.

I am not sure that I am understanding your problem here. I use the
description field in the Event to describe the circumstance eg birth,
census, son's christening etc. and the date field specifies when. I use
the preposition at in the wording.
If this is not your problem then please
Ron,
You are correct in that a MRIN will be established but their is no need to
use unknown for the partner, simply leave it blank, and check the this
couple never married box. I know that unknown will still show up in the
MRIN but it does not show up in reports and webpages.

It really isn't worthwhile trying to get any semblance of order into RINs or

virtually impossible to reset them in family groups. I have never found this
to be a problem and to keep track I use the User ID to

How are you going to change the wording? Via Legacy itself, or by editing
the default wording in an RTF version of the report? If the former – how?

Ok - I have to admit that I had thought of the idea and put it up here
before researching it I was figuring on editing the sentence definition

Tish,
Numbers are allocated in the order the entries are made. I can only imagine
that at some time you have renumbered and if so I haven't a clue as to what
method would be used. Because I create Pedigree webpages I have mine set not
to reuse RINs and I never renumber.

Gary, are you sure you're you? can you prove it? Some sources are dependent on
other sources in real life. How did we get driver's licenses? Birth certificate
as proof, maybe? A bill from the power company with our name and address on it?
How did we get that? Show our driver's license? or just
Tish,
Legacy may be using the first available RIN. If you have deleted individual

I agree, there are a number of places in reports where I would love the

wording and not for others, and other reports don’t even have the feature
for the same wording. (Descendant Reports for instance – one type has

I did have Alternate given and surnames' checked on the Include tab on
the Options for Descendant Books screen. And it still doesn't work.
Is everyone looking at the same report?
Or did I find a bug in the program for Descendant Book reports?
I've checked every check box that has to do with putting the alternate names
in the index and nothing is working. The alt names show up in the report
but not the index. I upgraded the program last week to get the latest and
greatest.
Is this a bug in the Descendant Book Report?

Exactly. I don't consider most of those other things you listed as sources
