Hi George,
Well pretty slim notes... a name, date and church name written on a
scrap paper.
But... you are right... that could be one way of covering it.
Thanks for the advice,
Brian

Hi,
I'm using the newest Legacy 7 version.
When adding a master source using Source Writer there is a tab for

Hey Brian,
I'm off to the airport but will quickly comment. First, is it possible that
you are reviewing the older videos? If I'm mentioning that the title should

that for you.

Hi Geoff,
I think the video was a new one. It covered both using Source Writer
and the older method. It was while showing how to use the older method
that you mentioned italics.
I think I understand what you mean about the repository being in one of

With _EE_ you have the latest thinking on whether or not to list

Hi Ron,

From Geoff's response I think I was confusing the list of repository

When I first purchased Legacy version 6 I also purchased the instructional

than the manual. I highly recommend them.
Since I am now using Legacy 7 Deluxe, I wonder if there is some upgrade

With so many sources on the internet now, putting the specific url as the

Hi Jeff,
I don't have an answer to your question but wanted to say that I, too,
very much like the videos. I only started a few months ago with Legacy

videos primarily for beginners like myself. I have found them very
helpful.
Brian,
I only use the site title (this is the name which appears at the top of your

using others is that they are very liable to change. I have on occasions used
the URL of the actual page, usually if the page is

Marilyn,
You did not do anything wrong. The list when you open the assigned
sources for a person lists all the places you can add a source. It is up
to you to decide as with did not marry and had no children, if they

Marilyn,
I know what you mean. It always strikes me as strange too. But, what
you are seeing on the events and sources list is captions from the
marriage data entry form. If you open the marriage data entry form for
an individual, you will see two check boxes on the upper left side. If

However, if I select Cite a Master Source or Add a New Source, these 2

There actually is no citation for these source fields. The program simply fills
in the spouse's name right in the first Events column, even when it says Did
not marry: SPOUSE'S NAME which makes no sense to me!! As I said in the other
post, I will ignore these fields.

Aha! Just for fun, I checked that box on the wife's record and it changed her
married name back to her maiden name. It had no effect on the source listing
Events column data, tho, for her nor her husband. Thanks for the input.

I am doing something similar. I was told that I could not put the program on

You cannot put the program on a flash drive, it needs files that have to

another computer proviving you have their permission to do so. When your

any saved Legacy files off their computer.
