What you describe is consistent for me. If cursor stops on a child I first
get small spouse list momentarily, then the second larger box. If I then
move cursor slightly within the child box the first box reappears along with
the second box.

Thankfully LUG doesn't have a digest mode. Mail filtering has been covered
here and works better. On groups that allow digests people reply with
meaningless subject like "Re: digest # 657"

Gary you are so right. I have Heritage Quest at home to copy and link to
Legacy census source. Trouble is HQ is not too well indexed so some people
are not found in index. I can drive 10 minutes to library to access
Ancestry. Ancestry index is better at finding people. I get 45 minutes on

I would also combine to one source but if you insist:
From View / Master Lists / Source select the existing part 1, Edit / Change
part 1 to part 2 / Save / nest select option #2 (Apply changes to a NEW
copy). Now you have 2 sources part 1 and part 2.

Thank you Susan and Wendy for the helpful suggestions regarding my first
question. I think I will add married names to women married after about
1850. In earlier times under French-Canadian and German customs women kept
their maiden names.
Would a Mrs prefix be appropriate with married names?
ames (only). More often I would have
them with a compound Given name Elizabeth Isabelle and compound Surnames
Garnier Grenier.
Where can I find alternate names in Access?
Thanks

I showed a 9th Great-Grandfather in Family View. When I clicked on his
parents I got a 8th Great-Granduncle married to a 10th Great-Grandmother.
The 8th Great-Granduncle was also a 10th Great-Grandfather but his brother

Cathy,
I have a dozen or so families where 2 or 3 siblings are bold, being in
direct line.
When you get far back one sibling could be 8th Great-Grandparent and another
9th or 10th Great-Grandparent. In one case ... Oh! But that calls for a
new subject. See: Relationship Indicator problem
other use for going to all
that work?
