Why would you want to? I have tried to come up with some numbering system
using just the 1, 2, 3, . . . numbers that would logically work with
parents, children, aunts, nephews, spouses and parents of spouses, etc., and
get some sort of order to the numbers. It doesn't take very many numbe
acy
in record input order. They are meaning nothing, but are only
nescessary for linking records within the program.

The best and easiest way is to export your entire database to a
gedcom and then import it into a new file making sure that,when
importing, you have ticked the box entitled"renumber RINs." You can
select your starting point so rather than starting at number 1, all
records from this impo
Does anyone know how to change all of the RINs and MRINs in some easy
manner for over 3100 names in 7.0 deluxe? I have several people as #1
now and it's just too many people to do manually. I was hoping to see
a prompt when transferring from 6.0 to 7.0, but it wasn't there.
