Very interesting thread.
It appears to me that the new mapping feature has changed things.
Before that, Legacy encouraged us to use just 4 fields for location even
though they made 9 fields available.
Following this encouragement meant that Legacy could implement the Geo

You can (in V6 at least) enter up to 9 places in locations (8 commas).

Hi all
This is an interesting thread.
Genealogy programs tend to allow different ways of doing the same things and
Legacy is no exception. The bottom line has to be that you put data into
the program in such a way as to get the results out that you want from the
screen display, mapping and

This is what I do. It may be the long way, but it
works. When I enter in a new Location, I keypunch as
'3407 Bryn Mawr - Chicago, Illinois, United States'.
After it has found and placed the L/L in place, I go
back in and change the place to 'Chicago - 3407 Bryn
Mawr, Illinois, United States'.
Try entering it like this (works for me).

Rich is convinced. I am changing to 'Anaheim - 10 Main

The address screen is accessed by either the plus sign
on the main input screen next to the location 'line',
or the little house most everywhere else.

If you put the addresses in the Event list not the mailing list this
shouldn't happen.
E.g., the plus sign alongside the birth event (before the 'globe'), will
allow you to add an birth event address. Using the house symbol, I think,
fills in the mailing list.
