Very interesting thread. It appears to me that the new mapping feature has changed things. Before that, Legacy encouraged us to use just 4 fields for location even though they made 9 fields available. Following this encouragement meant that Legacy could implement the Geo Location and USA County

This is what I do. It may be the long way, but it works. When I enter in a new Location, I keypunch as '3407 Bryn Mawr - Chicago, Illinois, United States'. After it has found and placed the L/L in place, I go back in and change the place to 'Chicago - 3407 Bryn Mawr, Illinois, United States'.

If you put the addresses in the Event list not the mailing list this shouldn't happen. E.g., the plus sign alongside the birth event (before the 'globe'), will allow you to add an birth event address. Using the house symbol, I think, fills in the mailing list. Regards Phil Legacy User Group
