Michele,
I tested the latest version of Legacy 7.0 and was not able to confirm
this. I added a new person with birth and death dates. When I clicked
save the never married and had no children box was not automatically
checked. Legacy DID automatically check the Living No box.

First of all, I cannot figure out how to reply from the archives to a
posting! I have to delete all these emails since there is not a digest

thereby include all the earlier postings, I cannot find a way to do that.
So,
OOPS! Big red face about the never married and had no children! And the
exclamation point is what that means. It's not something that happens on
the Marriage Information Screen, but on the Individual's Information. I DID
check the box down at the bottom to the right of HELP. When checked, the

I haven't added new 'babies' recently, but it has never done that to/for
me? It may be a check somewhere. I couldn't find it (in a hurry).

Kris,
I have recently done just that, and it has not happened to me either. In fact I wish it would, as I often add it so that I can forget about the person!
I have had a look through the program and cannot see any way to set/unset it either. Strangely enough I have

Interesting. I have a Great-Grand aunt, born in 1821 that I do not know if
she was married or when she died. Her entry is not marked that she did ot
marry and is not marked that she never had children, as I have no
indication on those questions
Thank you! It will be much appreciated when it appears!
Cheers,

Hi Patricia,
This is partly because of the evolution of the program and partly due
to the way the database works.
On the individual screen it used to have:
This individual never married.
The wording was changed as it always meant This individual had no
children AND didn't marry. That is -
