I have an anscestor Ann Hubbard who led a merry old life!! The
information I have is that Ann Hubbert married Charles Ingamells in 1818
but he died in 1823, but they had no children. She then had a child with
Samuel Clarke (Mary) and twins (Abraham and Isaac) with Willam King -
but did not marry

This works for a while then for some reason it drops out, even for other
reports printed within the same day. I think there is an intermittent bug
with this date box not remaining ticked The Produced by Legacy one does
stay ticked. It has been this way since at least version 5. Has anyone
I am using v7.4.0.30 and am unable to display the case of surnames properly.
Example: I type O'Donnell and the Family display is O'donnell.
In the customize data format I have checked the Do not change what I type
in the surname field.
Why is this happening?

Have the down arrow take you to the Master Surname List. Leg. is
calling itself helpful by taking you to a prime candidate for the
surname.

You need to edit the surname in the Master Surname List.
Thanks for using Legacy.

Is there a way to attach a pdf file to an Event? I've found a source for some
death certificates, but the only option to save them to my computer is a pdf
format.

I have also had this happen. I think the report list includes familly group
record, descendants and printing of names from the name list.
I hope this helps.

is there any way to all CAPS on some instances of a surname and on
others, just regular? In FTM, I had my direct line in ALL CAPS. All
others with the same surname were typed regularly.
For example, Saverio Sansone was my great-grandfather and his name was
SAVERIO SANSONE.
Saverio's brother was
Laura,
I have not tested this, I I have no wish to follow your suggestion and I
don't want to have to redo my files (whether it works or not)
However, I think if you go to OptionsCustomiseData Format and set the
Letter case of names to Do not change what I enter and then change
(manually) all
Actually, that is already checked and it won't let you type a surname in
all caps.
BUT.I did find a workaround. I needed to add the surname
both ways in the Master Surname list

Hmmm,

Ron,
That is not a bug Ron. The whole concept of a master list is that there
is only one copy of a surname. If you want two versions of a surname you
have to have both entered in the master list in order for Legacy to be
able to choose them.

For the Descendant Chart (not in the charting application but in the main
Legacy program from the Reports menu), in the Report Options dialog box the
Child Status checkbox is disabled (along with most of the others). Am I
missing something?

Connie,
Legacy can only use picture files in webpages. It does not pick up
document files such as PDFs. in order to include a PDF file as part of
the webpage you would have to manually enter the webpage file on the
page where you want the PDF to be available.

You've already had responses that have told you that yes, you can have
Sansone and SANSONE in
I put the Given name in CAPS and have the preferred direct line bolded as well.
That makes them easy to identify and avoids the problems you have encountered
with putting the Surname in CAPS.
