Jenny,
This is where I would eventually have ended up, but I see Elizabeth has
decided on another format.
For the information of others, I was suggesting that Elizabeth tagged all
the descendants in her main line. Then, as she wanted ancestors of a certain
spouse to tag that persons ancestors
I am just checking whether or not I can post to the list as I couldn't last
time I tried.

Agree with the response below. Just merge the duplicate names into a single
record. Then when you do a direct linage you will see both siblings
high-lighted under the Woods C D. Printing the reports with elimination of
duplicate lines will resolve [and save lots of paper] the generation issue
It came through. You may not be set up to recieve your own e-mail back to
yourself. Each vendor is different.

The 'Save the Current Book...' option is not working for me. What is
necessary to fix this? The save dialog comes up, asks me to save in

James,
What operating system are you using, and where is Legacy stored? If
Windows7, and Legacy is stored in the the Program Files then the o/s will
not allow the report to be saved in the default and you need to save it
somewhere else eg. UsersDocumentsLegacy.

I believe with gmail you won’t see your post till someone replies to it.

I renamed the 'Books' folder as the first step. Made and saved some
reports. I can retrieve them ok now. I did nothing with the user
files. Thanks for the tips on this.

Well, that may depend on how you access your mail at Gmail, and it has
changed over time. ;-)
I use the Thunderbird email client. I download my mail to it from
Gmail, read it there, compose emails, and send them off.
Yes. Hover your mouse over the field names, and left click. Choose
Customize. Then select whatever you want to be visible. Let us know
how that works.
This will be global, and you can change this again at anytime. Btw,
you can even have several setups and save them under different names
so if

Subject: [LegacyUG] Want to change Individual
Currently I'm working in my home TNG database and plan on making major
changes to our website in the new future. I noticed when I transferred
my gedcoms to my TNG home setup from my Legacy database, the TNG display
is indicating the very long _UID number. I do not want to display this
number,
Jerry,
There should be an option in TNG to stop it displaying, but I do not use the
program so don't know. You can avoid sending it by using the Customise
button and deselecting it, before Exporting.

I was wondering that myself, the titles can be changed in the family view,
but can the titles be changed in the individual's view?
Thanks,

No - but this is the place for entering the information rather than displaying
it. And in the Family View you can see the marriage date and place in the bar
that separates the husband and wife / man and woman from the list of children
so you really don't need the marriage date and place under
19 matches
