I get exactly the same as Gloria if I right click on the icon in the Windows
10 Task bar: Legacy 8, Unpin from Taskbar, and Close Window. I do get a
list of the eight (I'm a divider) most recently opened family files when
left-clicking the big blue Legacy L at upper left (right clicking only
No, they did mean the icon on the Windows task bar. When you right click
on a Windows task bar icon you can see a list of recently opened files.
This only applies however if you have used multiple files. Someone who
is always working with the same family file will not see this list.

I suspect a mis-type concerning the "icon on the task bar". They were
not referring to the icon that normally shows up on the bottom of your
screen. Instead I believe they meant the icon at the very top left of
the Legacy window. By default it is the big blue circle with an L in

And I don't have a network drive.
Opening from a right click from the Recent Files list on the Taskbar has
changed 1.2 to Open last used for me.
I'll make sure this is entered. Now you mention it, I have vague

Thirdly, the usual way people lose their Legacy settings is deciding to
"tidy up" their Documents folder or their genealogy folders and either
rename or move ...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\ This folder cannot be
moved or renamed. It will simply be recreated with defaults.
