I'll look into that, thank you. I really don't use too many that have a number of on-top dialog boxes. I'll pay more attention now. There is one thing that may be a cause and if that's is the case, then I'll just have to learn to deal with it. On my laptop I have a large width but it isn't tall.

The option to suggest a backup before merging is in the optional messages portion of Options > Customize > 12. Other Settings > 12.5 Message boxes. It is item two on the Prompts and Reminders tab. Since you are not telling Legacy to make the automatic backup before a merge there is no backup

I notice that I am no longer getting the box with the choice of backing up before merging, and also then not getting the choice to unmerge after merging. What did I do to change this? I can not find it in Options/Customize. Thanks, Gloria -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list
