Hi Cathy,
What a coincidence! I just emailed to my friend both the revised chart and
a revised narrative report. I had sent her a narrative report earlier (to
which she wanted more info added), and she was thrilled with it! Thanks
again for taking the time to write.

Shirley,
Another idea while you're going back and forth with your friend.
Use the Descendant Narrative report without events and notes but with
marriage status. It's the same order as the descendant chart.
If you're still collecting informtion, turn on the underlines for

Hi Cathy,
Thank you for suggesting the free PDF editor! My only problem is that I'm
working on a gigantic family tree for a friend, and the family has tons of
divorces. My friend keeps on adding and modifying information, so each time
I would send her a PDF, I would have to keep on revising the
Shirley,
I use the free Foxit PDF reader. You can add comments to a PDF and save
them with it.
You probably can with the PDF reader you use. Look for the ability to
comment.

Hi Cathy,
My PDF creator and reader are free ones (can't afford to buy them), so I
can't edit either. Your idea, however, is a great one! Thanks for writing.

Amy,
You can get "Divorced" on Family View so long as you've entered the
Marriage Status in the Marriage Information screen by using the settings
in Options - Customise 8.10
Shirley - re on Descendant Charts, the only really viable way at the
moment is to edit the Chart when produced.

Dear Amy,
Thanks for replying. I received a reply from a person at Legacy tech
support, who said that there is currently no option to indicate divorce and
that I should write to tech support so that the programmers might consider
revising the charts to indicate divorce. I'm unclear as to what you
You could just type it in the date section and if it comes up a
problem just over ride it.

There is no option for showing marital status on any of the charts.
The status can only be shown in books.
You can submit a suggestion form www.LegacyFamilyTree.com > Help
Center or by clicking on the link in the Support section of the Legacy
Home tab and it will be passed on to the programmers

In the descendant standard chart, I'd like to show those who are divorced.
In the marriage section, I've chosen "divorced" but do not know the divorce
dates. What should I do for "divorced" to show up in the chart?
