Now sorted. What I missed and what wasn't obvious to me, was that it is two
step process. I had expected that export would include download. Where as
you need to export and then click download. Then gedcom did appear in
download folder.

It should be possible to export a gedcom file from findmypast which I can
then import to legacy. The export appears to complete but I cannot find the
resulting downlaod on my computer. Using the import facility in Legacy five
gedcom files are found (not the ones I want). Whichever of the five I
