I am new to Legacy and have questions on RINs and MRINs.
If I understand correctly an RIN is a Record Number that is automatically
assigned.
So if the oldest male ancestor entered in Legacy is number 1, and his wife
is number 2, what is the numbering for their children and
RINs (Record Identification Number) are assigned by the database
sequentially as you enter individuals in the Family File. The first
one is #1, the second #2, etc. MRINs (Marriage Record Identification
number) are assigned sequentially as you connect people in marriage
If you wish to assign
for they are for marriages (or more properly,
relationships).
