Thank you for the inputs, everyone. I think I was concerned with loss of
quality each time you OPEN a .jpg file, not just when you edit the file. I
appreciate the insights, however, on good freeware photo

I would like to print one line of descendents, and not have all the
collateral and subcollateral lines printing too, is there a way to do that?
Is it even possible and/or difficult to do. Thanks, Riccarda

How do you handle the entry of a death location for someone that was buried
at sea?
I've been getting 3 different answers, each one seems to have its own
merits:

Jemima,
I agree that would be the most appropriate course of action.

Hi Brian
I have a location in the Master Location list called At Sea. I do not put a
Lat or Long value so Legacy doesn't try to map a location. I did at one time
try different locations like, Atlantic Ocean etc, but found it better to just
record a birth or death and burial At Sea. In many

A couple of questions right off the bat.

the various views?
Thanks,

Here are some general rules that I use.
1. Only use one picture for each person in family view. This picture will
appear on charts and reports.
2. Add 1 picture to an Event for the individual. This event and picture
will be printed in reports. To add 5 pictures to a person, use 5

I managed to have the occupations show in a chart by including them after the
marriage date and place, when in the
‘family screen’. For example ‘Married 12 Oct. 1860. Barcombe, Sussex, England.
Occupation Blacksmith.’
This was the only way that worked, but makes such a difference to the chart.
