Whether or not the Hints continue to show depends on your setting in
Hints. There's a checkbox for "Only show number of hints I have not
viewed before" at Options - Customise 8.13 and on the Hint screen when
you click on the orange dot. Show All or Show Unviewed.
But if you
Google earth has an app that will do basically the same thing. I don’t
remember how I found it.--

Many, many thank you's to everyone! I had no idea about these things. I
mean, I did think that I would contact GoldBug about it and see what they
say. I agree though that those resources are delightful! Thank you so much
for sharing, everyone.

Try using the search capability. You can search for FS hints, MyHeritage

Have you asked on the GoldBug site if they honor the purchase of AniMap
through the Legacy web sit? Even back when you bought it through Legacy,
GoldBug was still the "owner" of the software - Legacy was simply a

One can print out or read a Potential Problem Report. Is there a way to
print out the names that have Hints attached to them? Or does one just have to
go through the names one by one looking for hints? Also, once you have read
the hints, do they disappear? I was working with hints for
That is who sold it through Legacy Family Tree at one time, I think. Now

Animap is certainly useful, and perhaps worth it now that the price has
been halved (it used to be $70), but I found the Newberry Library's Atlas
of Historical County Boundaries to be sufficient and freely available. You
can't plot specific points or do some of the other things Animap allows,

Yeah, I saw that but I bought it through Legacy. I am not sure they will
honor a purchase made from another seller. They might though. I was hoping
Legacy may explain it to me. Perhaps I need a support ticket?

Back in 2014, I bought the online download for Animap 3.0.2, at the Legacy
website. I had a computer crash last week and thankfully, I had my files
backed up in several locations, but not downloads, which I regret. However,
the link in the original email is broken and does not redirect me to its
