Because your email address is subscribed to the Legacy User Group
mailing list. Any email sent to the group is relayed to all members.

Every email has instructions at the bottom on how to remove your email
from the list and only YOU can unsubscribe.

Here is the line with the instructions.

Go to the link and scroll down until you see the line giving you
instructions to enter your email email address to unsubscribe. Click the
button labelled unsubscribe or edit options.

You will receive an email from the list which will ask you to confirm.
Follow the instructions in the email or you will not be removed.

If you go to this page you will see what updates to Version 9 have

Re: [LegacyUG] New Version of Legacy Family Tree?

2020-06-21 Thread JERALDINE M SOCHA
I, too, am not impressed with MyHeritage.  It's like they want all my
information and then I have to PAY to have access.  And then my information is
available to all that subscribe.  Sometimes, I have info that I DONT want to
share.  It's a shame when there is something good going on (Legacy) and someone
acquires it and messes everything up.

Hello…Does anyone know if there are any plans for a major upgrade to Legacy
Family Tree (i.e. v10)?   It has been over three years since the release of v9.
If I recall correctly, v10 was on the verge of being release a couple of years
ago.   Is it my imagination, but ever since Legacy Family Tree was acquired by
MyHeritage the updates / enhancements have seemed to come at a snail pace.   I
really do like Legacy Family Tree and have recommended to many of my friends
and relatives.   I really liked the frequent free fixes / enhancements and
looked forward to them and was one of the first to pay for an upgrade.   The

hope this is not the case since I don’t want to see Legacy fall to the side of

Re: [LegacyUG] New Version of Legacy Family Tree?

2020-06-20 Thread Brian Kelly
I know the programmers are actively working on Version 10 but the
company never says when a new version or even an update to the existing
version will be issued.

If you go to this page you will see what updates to Version 9 have been
issued and the bug fixes and/or features included in each one.

https://legacyfamilytree.com/RevisionHistory9.asp

I do not know why you would think that Legacy is being given any less
emphasis now than before the merger with MyHeritage. Perhaps looking at
the revision history will reassure you.

Re: [LegacyUG] New Version of Legacy Family Tree?

2020-06-20 Thread Cathy Pinner
Please do not get into a negative discussion of the short comings or
imagined evils of MyHeritage.

It is not at all unusual for there to be years between releases of new
versions of Legacy. It was Legacy 9 that was released in April 2017 and
there has been no suggestion that Legacy 10 was going to follow on quickly.

You can expect an update to Legacy 9 before long. The latest public
version is build 339. The current beta version is build 350 so the
programmers and beta testers haven't been idle.

These "big" players (ancestry, MyHeritage, et al.,) have been acquiring
excellent programs and decimating them. Thus went Genealogy.com, MyFamily, and
many more I once used. Sad.
