Re: [LegacyUG] Problem With Descendant Book Report

2015-02-18 Thread Tom Weiss
Thank you Mel - I did that (twice). Also found I have the same problem
using my laptop, which has the same build, but older data. The results are
identical. There must be something weird in the data, or else my build
8.0.0.427 has a bug.

Anyone have in other ideas? I pulled up a file from 2013, and it has the

 Hi Tom,

Not the same report but similar problem a few weeks ago [Legacy 8.0.0.459

added them but only the old events were appearing in the report and not the
 additions.

I was copying and pasting these events - only minor changes each time
[year etc]. I obviously unintentionally clicked on the PRIVATE box and was
then copying this setting through all the new entries. Once un-clicked,
they all appeared as they should.

Check that your problem doesn't have anything to do with Privacy options -
either for people, events, entries, or reports.

I tried to find an answer to this online, but couldn't. So...

I entered some new data on a relative, George Wilkes Beckett, Jr.

I then ran a descendant book report starting with his father, Georges
Wilkes Beckett. The new data didn't show up in the report. Furthermore, I
had checked the box for all generations, but only two showed up.

I then ran a descendant narrative book report on George Wilkes Beckett,
and everything showed up - all the new data, and through all five

I cannot figure out what is going on. Something obvious, no doubt, but I'm
tearing out my hair trying to figure it out!!

 Any help...

2015-02-18 Thread Mary Fowler Leek
Tom, there is a newer build. You might try updating and see if that resolves
the issue. I would suspect the build, rather than your data, since the same
problem occurs with different data files.

Tom,

While in the Descendent Report Options (Options tab), check to see how you have
the Include Main Entries For block set up. If you have the individuals with
children radio button and lit, then this might be your problem. Otherwise, try
starting fresh by clicking on the reset button in the lower right corner of
