Hi All I have been reading the thread about the flash

know that you cannot use a CD to run your data base

But are you seeing it on screen? In a report preview? In a printed
report? Where? I am not seeing it.
P.S. This is not HTML. It appears to be an rtf artifact.

I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you meant until after I sent the last
message. It is on screen in the individuals " data card". I went to the
"Notes" button to add a bit of new data to the individuals nots and here is
what I found:
{\rtf1\ansi\deff0\deftab720{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil MS Sans
I'm not sure what you mean by "data card". But that doesn't really
matter.
See the other thread with the subject line "*Major* Issue with the use
of the } symbol". Did your original Note have a "{" symbol in it? If so,
your Note should look fine once Dave publishes the next update (soon I
expect).
No it did not have the { in it. The "data card" I am speaking of is the
"individual data box" where you enter the individuals personal information and
events and add the "general notes".

If you can send a copy of what your Note looked like before (maybe from
a backup), we can see if there is something else in the Note that is
causing the problem.

I also had this problem with "funny" codes in places they
