Yeah, I get the sense that hugin et al comes from the school of thought that you should digitally shift the images. Though the answers in thread don't really make sense, because the lens distortion model is still circular, it's not like it was tilted. I wonder if tca_correct can deal with it.

There is a center parameter in lensfun, it seems to work OK to just create a version of the lens that I had previously calibrated the distortion parameters then add a y value. Hugin lens calibration will also calculate the parameter eg "d", however you have to give it a starting point that is p

Let me say first of all that I'm just one of the monkeys who makes profiles from the contributed images when I have time, and don't have a profound grasp of the optics or solving algorithms, so take this with a grain of salt, but... based on empirical experience trying to fit corrections to ima
