[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51300] VIEWING: Comments are not readable (shown in white over yellow)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51300 --- Comment #34 from Noel Power nopo...@novell.com --- indeed this seems to be something that is happening now in the later gnome3 enabled distros. The analysis in comment #31 stands ( after debugging again on suse 12.3 where this is reproducible ) So some info Note text colour is taken from the system help text http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/vcl/unx/gtk/gdi/salnativewidgets-gtk.cxx#3788 ( strange that equivalent the gnome3 specific stuff in gtk3salnativewidgets-gtk.cxx doesn't seem to get called, it wouldn't make any difference though in this case ) Also in salnativewidget.cxx the HelpText background ( used for setting the Notes background is NOT set ) again in this case it won't make any difference ( because here the Note background doesn't appear to be populated by a system specific colour code index but by a 'real' colour value ) Worse still is that the text for the note and the drawing associated with the note are read in completely different places ( by generic code ) The imported parts are only pulled together much later to create the note. see http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/filter/excel/xiescher.cxx#1739 at this point of the import we could know about the background colour of the note ( drawing object ) The text colour for the note text is gleaned from the the text font ( but the text associated with the note could be rich text with multiple text runs and fonts ) Font related information including the text colour is read from a document wide buffer iirc, so those records are generic and nothing to do with the note itself. I suppose it would be possible to post process and adjust the text colour as necessary ( assuming one can find a function to compare how suitable a much a background and foreground colour contrast each other ) There are always I guess going to be problems when one colour is taken from a system setting and the other is a 'real' setting. Beyond having some clever colour contrast adjusting code ( which I have no clue about ) I guess the easiest thing to do is to adjust the the colour chosen for a colour index ( e.g. EXC_COLOR_NOTETEXT ) in the hope the colour would be a better match. However I think that we shouldn't initialise the colours for note text and background from the system but from libreoffice's own colour settings ( that at least would hopefully make it more unlikely that a 'default' colour matched with a real or 'hard' colour would be an unsuitable combination ) I will try to find where that colour information can be accessed and change the code as appropriate -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: roanc...@gmail.com Hardware: x86 (IA32) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice First use after upgrading to Ubuntu Raring the LibreOffice (Version 4.0.2.2 build ID 400m0(build:2)) While EDITING in web layout letter spacing moves horizontally: I wrote a few sentences using default style. Then went back to edit a typo in the previous paragraph. I noticed that, from the insertion point to about ten letters to the left, all ten letters jumped as a group about four or five pixels to the left. Adjacent to the cursor a letter was overlapping another. New letters were not inserted at the chosen position, but off by one character. I used the arrow keys to move the insertion point lower down the page and begin editing there. I noticed that the overlap remained on the page. When I used a mouse click to move the insertion point the misplaced letters all jumped to their correct places, about four or five pixels rightward. I selected all (with Ctrl-A) and changed to Text Body. Then I repeated all the above, with the same result. My default font is Ubuntu size 12. Not most files, any. Any file of any size loads slooower with LO 4.x. 3) I tested twice the same scenario, one week apart -- thinking I must have done something wrong. a) loading from command prompt, hotkey, macro b) loading from a click selection in IE or q-Dir c) loading from Recent Documents My 4.x and 3.x tests involved any series of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 or 9 files loaded in the same series of events -- not closing-reopening files ad libitum or ad nauseam. The 10-25 seconds of CPU overload at 25% (each core!), happens in LO 4.x only. Be that with the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th or 9th file (Intel caching, SSD, etc.). It does not make sense but it is a systematic occurrence on my machine (and a Ubuntu laptop). Not on the 3rd time only. Every time I open a file or a series. Severity: critical Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: chad.hen...@gmail.com Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice In modifying my CSV file by deleting rows, and then saving the changes to the file, LibreOffice corrupts the file. This can be viewed either by simply reloading via the File-Reload menu, or by closing and then opening the file. The corruption is as follows. Usually, some component of the file data that was deleted is appended as additional columnar data, rows, or both. I use CSV files to load data into my SFDC instance. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60565] EDITING: Installing or deleting fonts with Writer open results in bizarre document layout
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60565 --- Comment #9 from Linus ejectm...@me.com --- Created attachment 79009 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=79009action=edit Perhaps the most amusing one yet Well, this bug is no longer about installing or deleting fonts only. I opened Font Manager, and used it only to open a folder that contained a font (NOT to install or delete any fonts) and suddenly a document that I had open became entirely blank. I had trouble taking a screenshot of it, because the bottom bar became greyed out whenever my pointer reached it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64340] UI: no recent document list in Win 7 start menu
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64340 --- Comment #1 from Andrew andre...@yahoo.com --- Clarification: I am NOT referring to the recent documents list available within Libre Office; I am referring to the list available on the Win 7 start menu panel. That is, there is some kind of change in the relationship between Libre Office and Windows if the files were listed in the start panel under LO3 but not LO4. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64344] New: Printed comments : improve line numbering
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64344 Priority: medium Bug ID: 64344 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Printed comments : improve line numbering Severity: enhancement Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: hyoga...@yahoo.fr Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Just take a document with comments, and print it *with* the comments (end of page or end of document, doesn't matter). Before every comment, there is a reference that helps the user. The form is : Page : a Line : b Author : name e. g. Page : 3 Line : 77 Author : Hyogapag The line corresponds to the number of the line within the *whole* document. So clearly, it can't help the reader to find the comment in the page (Page 30 Line 770 !!). I propose that instead the line gives the line number within the page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
