https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/55978 fixes the writing v:shape to
word/document.xml which should go to word/footnotes.xml.

There is another problem, that the v:shape (of a deleted object in tracked
changes) doesn't contain v:imagedata reference, and so the object is lost after
RT. This problem must be tracked separately.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

- About LibreOffice.

REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

2018-06-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118218

Bug ID: 118218
Summary: VBA FormatNumber function is unsupported
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:xlsx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 108908

Created attachment 142832
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=142832=edit
Sample XLSM

Open the attached XLSM file. It contains a single macro call to FormatNumber
VBA function [1] inside a user function, also referenced from A1.
Recalculate the spreadsheet.

=> There's an error during macro execution. I assume FormatNumber isn't
supported.

BASIC runtime error.
'35'
FormatNumber

Observed using LO 6.1 beta1 & 4.4.0.3 / Windows 7.

Also should have mentioned that the shape is in a footnote; so it should have
been in footnotes.xml, not in document.xml. Adding bug 99227 to "See also",
where I fixed a similar issue.

The problem seems related to the shapes that are parts of deleted content in
the tracked changes.

The problem is reproducible (only tested using attachment 142811) with Version:
6.0.5.1 (x64)
Build ID: 0588a1cb9a40c4a6a029e1d442a2b9767d612751
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); Calc: CL:

1. Simply re-saving the file (as DOCX) without any changes;
2. Saving after accepting all tracked changes (!).

In the latter case, the drawing object ole_rId24 disappears from Drawing
Objects in Navigator, but after save, it's still past the XML's .

Also reproducible using master Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: b1740fba0d1e6e3d69c3781734509317f42a0e4f
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); Calc: CL

that has mst's redline refactor.

Michael, Miklos: do you have a pointer from the top of your heads where to
look?

vcl: share GfxLink

When importing PDF as images, we store the
PDF stream in the GfxLink. For large PDFs
storing a copy of the full PDF with each
page is overkill. For example a 10MB PDF
with 200 pages will consume 2GB of memory!

No, it's not. ;)

Comparing the way the file looks in Firefox/Edge/Chrome versus Draw, the Draw

should be.

kompilainenn, regarding your comment:
>"all works very fine."

No, it doesn't. ;)

The scope of this report as per
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40177#c0:

"What is expected to happen...it looks as it did in .odg."

Exporting to .svg has two text boxes in the background when opening in .svg,
that didn't exist in .odg.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118217] Menubar: writer menubar update

2018-06-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Created attachment 142831
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=142831=edit
[WIP] writer menus old (top) and new (bottom)

File

- NO change

Edit

- Separator between Past and Select
- Select options grouped like in calc
- Track Changes moved to Reference main menu (no text dropdown)
- Comment stuff is also in new Reference menu
- Design Mode is in Forms and should be removed
- Exchange Database moved to tools cause there are ALL "database" items

View

- 3rd section are the show additional stuff like Formatting Marks, Whitespace
and Grid
- 4rd section are alternative views
- Data Sources -> Tools as all Database stuff

Insert
--
- horizontal Line moved to Shape Submenu
- Section and Text from File move more to bottom (Section fit's good with
signature cause you can lock sections)
- Text from File I don't know in which group

Format
--
- Chapter Numbering was added cause it fit's with Character, Paragraph, ...
Property
- Caption was moved from insert to the Image, Shape, Object group cause Caption
is exactly for them.
- Name and Description I don't know where to move them, I don't know why this
should be that useful in writer should be somewhere in a subgroup
- as Format is the largest new section (same size than insert in the old
layout) I would prefer to combine Flip and Rotate

Styles
--
- NO changes

Review
--
- Complete new Main Section
- Review yourself with Spelling
- AutoText
- Track Changes
- Comments (the names should be more clear for the different commands, also in
6.0)
- Global Document review
- Protect

Table
-
- For Number Format the Submenu (from calc) was added incl. Number Recognition
cause Number Recognition is related to Number Format and not that important to
have it on main level

Form

- No Change
- If someone say with Review there are to much main menus, I think review is
more important than form

Tools
-
- Spelling stuff is in Review
- Chapter Numbering in Format
- Line Numbering in View
- Footnotes and Endnotes in Edit -> Reference
- Envelope was moved from insert to Mail Merge Wizard

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118216

It does work for me with 6.0 and master, after I select the reference in the
document body. The dialog is basically the same as for Insert -> Footnote or
Endnote, and it allows to switch automatic numbering to a fixed symbol, and
also turn footnote to endnote and vice versa. None of these possible with the
dialog from Tools -> Footnotes and Endnotes...

I'm a little bit afraid because in the 5.x cycle many changes were made
especially by Jay. They were discussed in detail and based (sometimes) on use

Yes, I mean character styles. But when paragraph and character styles will
share the same checkboxes, then no new checkbox is needed as paragraph styles
already include a checkbox for hierarchical view.

You can insert a foot or endnote via Insert -> Footnote or Endnote -> Footnote

You can edit the formating via Tools -> Footnotes and Endnotes... which work
well (.uno:FootnoteDialog)

BUT

You can't edit the footnote with Edit -> References -> Footnotes and Endnotes
(.uno:EditFootnote)

I would recommend to remove EditFootnote from Edit -> References and move there
FootnoteDialog from Tools.

GSOC 100 paper cuts update + wiki login issue

2018-06-17 Thread Nick Thanda
Hi everyone,

I have been working on tdf#36867 - Not currently possible to undo wrong
capitalisation in Calc

I've changed it so that the user input is entered as well as the corrected
string so you can now undo the corrected string and keep the initial user
input. My code has been reviewed and I need to make some changes, here is the
gerrit:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/55820/

Who do I speak to regarding the wiki? I would like to create a page for 100
paper cuts and it won't allow me to log in saying "User can't be authenticated"

Thanks,
Nickson

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100693] FORMATTING MS-COMPAT: fo:wrap-option should be set for graphic-objects in text documents

2018-06-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100693

Regina Henschel changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW
 Ever confirmed|0 |1

It is not only a question of interoperability. It is a real bug in LibreOffice.
LibreOffice does not write the attribute fo:wrap-option in general, but only if
you set is explicitly. But such is not possible in Writer, neither for a Frame
nor for a graphic Text-Box. It is only possible for a Custom-Shape.

If a graphic property is not set at the style of the object, nor at any of its
parent styles, then the settings in style:default-style of the same family
(here graphic) has to be used. And there fo:wrap-option="no-wrap" is set. So
Word shows the file exactly as it is written by LibreOffice. But LibreOffice
wraps the text although it writes "no-wrap".

The same problem is in Impress. There too the standard graphic style has no
setting for fo:wrap-option and the element has set
fo:wrap-option="no-wrap".

A solution is possible in several steps:
1. Write fo:wrap-option="wrap" in the default style, so that file format and
actual behavior fit together.
2. Write this attribute for all "frame"-graphic styles in Writer, because they
are treated different from graphic objects in LibreOffice.
3. Bring this attribute to UI in all graphic styles, not only in Custom-Shapes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118215] New: Bullet points do not respect the language written from right to left in impress

2018-06-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118215

Bug ID: 118215
Summary: Bullet points do not respect the language written from
right to left in impress
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mahs...@cryptolab.net

Description:
I am trying to generate slides in Urdu language in LibreOffice Impress. Urdu is
written from right to left. If I want to generate a bullet point, it always
appears on the left side. The correct way for the bullet point to appear is on
the right side. For details, please see the screenshot at
https://ibb.co/cgteed.
Another related issue is that LibreOffice guesses the written language
incorrectly (please see the screenshot above), the actual language in which the
text is written is 'Urdu' but LibreOffice thinks the language is 'Hindi'.

Though, the bug appears in impress but I guess the behavior will be similar in
'writer' as well.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a language that is written from right to left e.g. Urdu
2. Select a bullet point style
3. Start writing text, the bullet point starts moving towards left side, though
it should stay on the right side.

Actual Results:
The bullet point is displayed on the left side in a language written from right
to left

Expected Results:
The bullet point should be on the right side rather than on the left in a
language written from right to left

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes
