--- Comment #23 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu)

For what it's worth, an unrelated report show us the same issue in attachment
177463 of bug 146701, using LO 7.2.
Jim, it would be good to test with a currently supported version,

I tried with 1920x1080 and Skia in software mode. Still same result.
But I have a workaround. On the master view, draw a rectangle outline around
page edges in it will look nice in the page panel.

Checked on macOS and Windows and both look nice with border and simulated
shadow around the page thumbnail. Apparently a SKIA bug.

I don't know if it is related, but the selection rectangle is extreamly laggy,
next to useless.

The pane looks nice on Linux with a dark theme but obviously not on Windows. We
should use the tools > colors > Application Background for the slide/pages
sidebar rather than a color from the system

Icons are pixelated also. LO seems to be getting worse with each version.

Tried again. Same problem in Impress and Draw. With or without Skia.
No visible border around pages.

I’m unable to reproduce this on Windows 11 with a trunk daily build. I don’t
recall ever seeing a visual bug like in attachment 175985 either, but I don’t
have a HiDPI screen like the OP.

Downloaded old Libreoffice 4.4.7.2 and it is much better. The slides are very
distinct and easy to see because there is a border/shadow around, and a gap
between pages.
So it looks like in 5+ year
