[Libreoffice-bugs] beach ball since upgrading to 5.1 Mac OS

We have a 2010 Macbook Pro with an SSD drive and 16GB (not a type) of RAM. Since upgrading to 5.1 accessing Libreoffice induces a beachball (libreoffice not responding) for up to a minute. We keep between 6 and 9 documents open at a time. mostly Writer documents and couple of spreadsheets. The
