Info from Eike: Looks like a bug, but it may just be due to the algorithm used.
Actually for only negative values there's no reason for #DIV/0 error, but maybe
another error should be generated.

Reproduced with as early as LO 3.6.0.4 / Windows 7.

There are further differences in the graph:
-the positions of numbers are all a bit off,
-arrows between 2 and 7 are in reverse direction, too,
-there's a line running from top left to bottom right corner that shouldn't be
there.

Another clear difference in the document is the footnote separator being on the
opposite side.

According to specification [1], this text comes from the solver engine, the

to completely uninstall 5.1.4.2 and regress to 5.1.3.2. This release works

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100759] FVSCHEDULE - last missing argument

2016-07-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100759

Please don't confuse a blank argument with references to blank cells, a
reference always results in an argument, reference to empty cell usually in 0
in numeric context.

An entirely omitted parameter (e.g. FOO taking two parameters given only FOO(a)
one parameter) is different from a present parameter but omitted argument (i.e.
left blank), e.g. FOO(a,) is given two parameters but with an omitted argument
for the second.

Many functions in Excel can have a present parameter with omitted argument even
if the parameter is required and the omitted argument is usually (not always)
substituted with 0, for example POWER(1,) results in 1

This function here (FVSCHEDULE) and quite some can not..
My assumption now is that those are the functions which for early Excel
versions were implemented in Add-In packs. But as said, that's just a guess for
now.

Well as said on the office/excel site: the second argument *is* required, so it
can't be left out. But can left blank, ie. {}. That's why confirmed.

The values in schedule can be numbers or blank cells; any other value
produces the #VALUE! error value for FVSCHEDULE. Blank cells are taken as zeros

Feel free to write a ticket about your enhancement requests, the QA team will
set keywords appropriately so that the UX people read it. Hi-jacking this bug

SC_CAT_NONE is a result of an unhandled insertion or deletion action, here the

Michael: thought you might be interested in this one since it concerns
Writer+may have some idea about how LO should react in case of lack of memory.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90285] Crash copying sheets

I couldn't really verify this.. with g++ 5.3.1 I get a different crash with or
without that change:

/usr/include/c++/5.3.1/debug/safe_iterator.h:224:error: attempt to

My previous assumption that some blocks in ColumnBlockPositionSet weren't
shifted to the next sheet's tab doesn't hold.

However, the change seems to fix some things with g++ 6.1.1

this bug is about invalid duplicate table:id attributes on
table:cell-content-change

this is not a duplicate of 65363, which is duplicate office:currency on
table:cell

what is even worse, this serious bug can be reproduced on current master!

the only good aspect of this bug is that we don't know of a way to
reproduce it with the UI, you need a macro, which means it won't affect many.

With the missing/omitted arguments mess my current bet is that functions in

functions did, hence deliver #N/A if such is used. Just a guess..

Both Excel and Gnumeric calculate the same results.
PayType should be Logical PayType = FALSE() instead.
Apparently the constraint Nper != 0 is used, if and how much sense it makes to
have Nper<0 is beyond my financial background..

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95357] TRACK CHANGES: Change tracking movement/ action are inconsistent for replacements

2016-07-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95357

In general, where should we give comments to UX?

As a user, I think it would be best to not have any special case for
"replacements" as a type of change. I think this important because users will
vary in how they replace text in different situations (e.g., some will have
insertions before the deletions, some will have deletions before the
insertions, some will have insertions, deletions, and more insertions again.)

Please treat every insertion and deletion as a separate change, and move
between them sequentially. I don't mind clicking "accept"/"reject" twice for
each replacement; I do mind if I cannot trust which part of the document I am
accepting or rejecting in cases where multiple replacements are concatenated. I
also mind if I start at the beginning of a document, accept and reject changes
to the end of the document, and discover I have not accepted/rejected every
proposed change.

I looked at this, saw that the transliterate code was similar to the
spellchecking code and so checked with an equivalent spelling demo. And that
crashes in the same way, so the actual "chinese conversion" is innocent. Its a
generic problem with spell-checking replacement and
transliteration/hanga-hangul replacement and undo

Excel Fx help says it is a logical value, which we treat it as. Needs to be
corrected in ODFF.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100758] New: [FILEOPEN] Word Continuous section break results in 2nd and more footnotes being pushed to next page on import of DOCX file

2016-07-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 100758

   Product: LibreOffice

The fix of bug 90697 (dupl bug 100513) makes another problem visible: footnotes
after the first footnote are pushed to the bottom of the second page. The
reference still is on the correct position in the text.

This obviously is related to the following problems:

 - Bug 98287 - Mixing footnotes between sections leads to unwanted page break
after the first footnote and pushes the second footnote to the next page (edit)

 - Bug 54465 - FORMATTING: Inserting footnote in section (with columns), make
that sections size grow to the full page

This is the test file (
http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125792 ) from issue
100513.

I'll add a PDF showing part of that file in a daily from June 28, July 4 and a
PDF from Word.

Simple but non-linear optimization problem.

Optimizing a model with the linear solver, but the variables are multiplied
with each other, making the model non-linear.

Error message says 'model is infeasible', I think it should rather say that
'model is non-linear'.

(When staring at a feasible solution, the 'infeasible' message is rather
confusing.)

Ah well, sort of the same as bug 54465 of course.
The special thing here is that only adding a footnote in the section with
columns without adding one behind the title - before the section with columns,
does not show the problem..

Note that Excel also doesn't return an error, it seems to treat any other value
than 0 as 1, and in the Fx help says type is a logical value, while in
https://support.office.com/en-US/article/IPMT-function-5CCE0AD6-8402-4A41-8D29-61A0B054CB6F
that is not mentioned.

Likely the ODFF definition should be Logical Type = FALSE() instead.
