https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39613

--- Comment #8 from Markus Grob sno...@ilnet.ch ---
I have to reopen this bug. The case is, that the ß sign doesn't exist in
Switzerland. If I have to change a text, then I have to change all the
Esszett into a normal ss.
For this, I have to find all the ß signs. For this, I think, the behavior of
the search has to be changed. A ß - ss kombination has only to be found, if
the similarity search is turned on. Without this, if a ß is given, no ss
should be found.

Still reproducible with Version 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5). I have written a
document which has a few includes and one without something in it.
I think, first you have to test, if the module exists. If not, give the user a
hint, he has to install the database module. If you only hide the button, users
will be searching for it, if the have written documents using this and after
the upgrade, this button can't be found.

The case with scripting will be the same. With a clean errormessage, the user
will found out, how the problem could be fixed.

Use case which shows the behaivier in word.

There exist a feature in MS-Office, which allows you to highlight all
paragraphs, where the selected style sheet is used.
For big documents is this feature very useful, because it can help to eliminate
wrong formatting in the document. Also if I receive a document from other
persons, which is bad formatted, it helps to bring a clean formatting into the
document.

In the attachement you can see the necessary of this feature and also, how it
maybe can be done.

think, if you have thousands of new errors, but on a few bugs, you have a lot
of votes, you try to fix it earlier then another bug, which nobody except the

Ok reading the bug report again.

The attached file is already wrong and only contains the range collect
 2'.E7:'collect 2'.AZ99 'collect 2'.E101:'collect 2'.AZ121 'collect
 2'.E100:'collect 2'.AA100 'collect 2'.AZ100:'collect 2'.AZ100

Do you have the original file that is not wrong? Otherwise you can fix it by
defining the range newly in 3.6!

In 3.6 we switched from cell style based conditional formats to range based
conditional formats which might create some problem for some documents.
 However
after you have range based conditional formats you will always be able to see
and beginning with 4.0 you will be also able to dynamically change the range
 of
 the format.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56903] Moz-free Outlook Adress Book driver

2012-11-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56903

--- Comment #1 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu ---
David Ostrovsky dixit in
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2012-November/040889.html

I personally think it is a no go to have two different approaches for
 O and OE integration.
As discussed with Fridrich on LO Congress, i took a look at seamonkey
way to handle it. They simple open MAPI.DLL
and use WAB restriction API to access it. Moreover the algorithms and
 the data strucures in mozab
(and therefore in mork driver) seems to match 1 to 1 to these api.
So one straightforward way to integrate both O and OE would be to
borrow these 5 files from seamonkey tree and adapt it for our need.

As remarked by Michael Meeks in
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2012-November/040905.html,
following that path, probably better to take that code off *latest* Seamonkey
or even better Thunderbird rather than copying the ancient thing we have
in-tree.

 Component: Drawing
   Product: LibreOffice

After inserting a writer OLE, try and make the canvas small (or fit the content
in the OLE) by dragging the edges in edit mode.

You'll see it makes the text smaller instead of making the canvas smaller, and
if you go out of the edit mode of the canvas, the canvas does not resize.

In LibreOffice Draw:

When you choose Line to create a line the line-symbol AND the line-box (where
you can choose between more different lines) are highlighted.
But when you choose the basic rectangle or the circle only the rectangle box
gets highlighted.

It seems like I can only add one attachment, that's why I uploaded the
screenshots on a other website:

Line example / How it should be:
http://postimage.org/image/nm91bserl/

Rectangle Example (the bug):
http://postimage.org/image/434g2fg01/
http://postimage.org/image/8z82u4g5d/
(I toked the rectangle from the left next to the circle.)

Its only a cosmetic bug and it is probably easy to fix.

I will check this with a current Master-Build asap.

At least back until LibO 3.3.3 we have had the current behavior.

Protected TOC should be handled like protected sections: Misspelled words will
be underlines by auto Spellcheck, but ignored during Manuel check after f7

And that's exactly what spell check does. So there is no bug at all.

@bugquestcontri:
Please simply protect your TOC ('Rightclick - Edit')

{tinderbox: @16, pull time 2012-11-09 00:53:19} on German WIN7 Home Premium

0. Download Attachment 66562 of Bug 54447
1. Open sample document from LibO start Center
Expected: looks like in WORD (See attachment 66560)
Actual: See attached screenshot, all text frames seem lost
2. rightclick first of the invisible text frames in Navigator pane,
'Text Frame - Edit - Background - Yellow - ok
Now you see all the page in yellow, so I think the frame fills complete
   page.
3. Go to Type Tab of dialog
You see it's even worse, for me test frame size is 182.92cm x 91.48cm
5. Try to reduce size to 4cm x 3cm
That will not work

Looked much better with 3.6.3

Thank you for reporting this bug.

Would it be possible to add screenshots of the presentation in Microsoft Office
so we can compare?

The presentation crashes for me on 3.5.4 on Ubuntu 12.04 x86_84.
In 3.7.0.0-alpha it looks like it isn't completely correct. A picture could
confirm it.

I changed the Importance to high / major because I have to provide a lot of
large presentations and often need to adjust the layout. As the master slide
does not get saved correctly it is very time consuming to always correct the
presentations one by one. And every time a user gets the message that the
template of her or his presentation has changed and whether she or he wants the
changes to be applied their presentations can get screwed up.

It is really annoying.

When I change the font size in writer from the default one by changing the size
in the size window, it does change the size as I type, but as soon as I use
enter it turns the size of what I have written into the default size. If I
select and then increase the size, it changes the size, but when I use enter
it deletes! Previous versions did not have that but.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48405] Calc crashes during execution of macro in XLS spreadsheet

--- Comment #1 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com ---
I have confirmed this as well. I have no clue if this will be addressed as it's
so specific to a particular macro enabled page that I personally have no clue
what it's intended purpose is.

Markig as NEW and prioritzing:

Major: I'm hesitant to mark this as Major but since it causes a crash, I'm
going by my normal flowchart and marking it as so.

Lowest: So specific that it's unlikely another user would have face this
furthermore there is a workaround to just go slow.

If someone could do a bt that would be nice, I may be able to do one tomorrow.

The documentation of LibreOffice as presented in the wiki at
http://help.libreoffice.org is stagnant and has poor usability.

Plans outlined for the development of the wiki are two years old and need to be
refreshed.
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Wikihelp

Tools to merge and migrate are all very well, but if it takes two years to
figure out the plan, then perhaps it would be best just to let the
documentation evolve anew from crowdsourced contributions. The old wiki for
OpenOffice was publicly editable and increasingly was quite complete. The
LibreOffice wiki is static and it is quite difficult to locate the needed
information. Pages are overly fragmented into too-small chunks and navigation
is not simple.

Please allow public editing of the wiki and let the masses do the work! I will
start -- please send me a login with a username of 'jpye'. I am already
experienced in wiki editing as you can see here:
