https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62197 Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTOURBUG CC||jmadero@gmail.com --- Comment #12 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com --- This is almost undoubtedly NOTOURBUG, the reason I say this is because the print to pdf works. Within LibreOffice Print - Options - Print to File Click Print, name the pdf, push print to file.. If the result of that is right, then it's not our bug. This is EXACTLY what we send to the printer, if the outcome is bad is is more than likely a driver problem for the printer. To test further, if the PDF is right, print from your pdf viewer, if the result is bad again, this is further proof that it's the print driver. Marking as NOTOURBUG - if: 1. You print to file and it looks funky too, mark as UNCONFIRMED and we will reinvestigate 2. You print to pdf, looks fine, prints fine, mark as UNCONFIRMED If you find that it's your driver, I recommend reporting a bug against your printer driver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Since the Lao written language does not word wrap properly, scripts have been developed for windows and MS word to automatically insert a Zero Width Space (U+200B) between each word. These are indivisible in MS Word, but show up as small forward slashes with a dark grey background in Libreoffice. (I have observed this over several years on Mac, Windows and Linux. Here is a Zero Width Space between the reversed angle brackets. Because the document may not be changed after it has been sent by responder, PDF Form is not an option. And so here a behavior different from a would be useful. My conclusion: Currently a is supported by LibO, b is not. If someone thinks that b (or even a different c, d, ...) might be useful he can submit an Enhancement Request for an additional option/function/whatever, but not to replace the existing behavior. @nrbrtx: If you can contribute a conclusive scenario showing that typical users of an office suite (NOT web page designers!) need such a different behavior please submit an enhancement request. And pleas do not mix up Print Preview and Page Preview in your argumentation. And a dentist and a plumber both might know a lot about tongs, but the experiences are not transferable. In a similar way I think web design has some needs and habits different from those in office world for what LibO is. But of course, LibO is open for good new ideas what are related to office use. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63211] MAILMERGE: looses embedded image when e-mailing as html
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63211 --- Comment #2 from Ferry Toth ft...@telfort.nl --- Rainer, I think you are dismissing my bug report a bit too quick. As a user I do make errors and try not to bother you with those. When I find a bug that affects me, I try to report it here. This not my first. I'll try to explain a bit more clear: - The following has been tested using LibO 3.6.2.2 on Ubuntu x64 quantal (12.10) - I have a Writer document with an embedded picture of type gif. - I do a mail merge and send it to a list of recipients, including my self. - The format of the sent mailing is html - When I receive my copy of the mailing the picture is not present, there is an empty placeholder. Looking at the html code of the received e-mail is shown in my first post. Clearly this is a bug in LibO, as the html code is generated by LibO. My other efforts to see if LibO can generate html with embedded images is just an experiment to see where things fail. I attached a sample document test.odt. My findings are: - when LibO exports the document as xhtml (test.xhtml) the image is embedded with mime type * (is that correct?) and displays correctly when the original image was gif on firefox and chrome. - when LibO saves as html the gif is saved as separate file - it seems there is a code path for xhtml and html - when the image in the odt is svm it doesn't export well at all, with gif it works and finally: - when doing a mail merge LibO sends out the e-mail directly to the smtp server, it appears the html code path is used and the image is not embedded even though it could be. Attaching my sample files right after this. Indeed text appears condensed, and definitely not pleasing to look at. Tor's latest experimental build with Core Text renders the fonts just fine, so it means we have a fix at hand. But, when I click on the text box for editing, text becomes condensed again, but, when I click elsewhere to change the focus from the text box to somewhere else, it reverts to its nicely rendered state. I've got a powerful machine (12 cores) and a lot of RAM (12 Go). Some formulas periodically disappears. Each time this happens, I must rewrite them (I exported the document to pdf before, which eases the rewritting of the formulas). After 2 minutes of loading OOo 1.1.5 really works fine, I did several smaller edits in Shape 1 withou any problems, works very fast. No significant CPU load, 250MB Memory Similar with OOo 2.0.3, but here smaller delays between edits, when I selected a shape and want to select an other one I always have to wait some annoying 1/10 seconds AOOo 3.4.0 very similar to OOo 2.0.3, Anti-Aliasing-off brings some speedup. LibO 3.3.3 needs 500MB Memory, 1/4 speed or less compared to AOOo 3.4.0, any edit brings up maximum CPU load for some seconds, more or less unusable. I can't see significant progress without anti aliasing LibO 3.5.7 similar to 3.6.6 (see below LibO 3.6.6 needs 500MB Memory, but works fine, somewhere between OOo 1.1.5 and 2.0.3 Only 400MB Memory with parallel Dev-installation of Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 049ce78144650d92eb6bd73292868f73d37c901) TinderBox: Win-x86@6, Branch:master, Pull Time: 2013-03-29_23:59:42 ENGLISH UI / German Locale on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with LODev/4 Masters User Profile, rest similar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This does not happen for same version of Calc in Windows 7 64 bit version. Steps to reproduce: 1. either choose cell formatting from left-click pop-up or from menu format cell. 2. Wait 8 seconds for the dialogue to pop up and the calc windows may be dimmed. It might be caused for waiting too long. 3. Selecting tabs and scrolling down the options are extremely slugglish and dimming of windows in the course of operation. 4. Disabling Java in libreoffice does not help. Current behaviour: Unreasonably slow operation of cell formatting. Expected behaviour: Dialogue should pop up almost immediately as if it is in windows 7 and the scrolling and selecting activity should be faster so that dimming of windows should not happen. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63553] New: Cross-references are broken, when copied to other document or part of the document
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63553 Priority: medium Bug ID: 63553 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Cross-references are broken, when copied to other document or part of the document Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: andis.lazd...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.6.5.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 77991 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=77991action=edit Example showing broken cross-references The problem appeared after application of solution for somehow disturbed cross-reference dialogue (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50139, https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50144, https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45049, https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46714, https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47042). When creating text document with several captions, it happens from time to time, that cross references are disappearnig, showing instead 'Error: Reference source not found' message; for instance, when new caption is inserted somewhere in the middle of the document, the cross-references to other captions following to the inserted caption disappearor are misplaced. The same happens if part of the document containing captions and cross-references is copied to other document or other part of the same document. The sample file is attached to this report. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open attached file and besides create blank writer file 2. in attached file select text starting from cross-references to Table 2 and Illustration 2 to the end of document 3. press Ctrl+C to copy text block 4. move to blank file and press Ctrl+V You will see instead of cross-reference to Table 2 and Illustration 2 'Error: Reference source not found' message. If you will select the whole content and copy / paste it to blank, cross-references will survive in this case. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63282] : Python error on LibreLogo with non en_us
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63282 --- Comment #6 from László Németh nem...@numbertext.org --- I have made a test build (unfortunatelly, only en_US). Isn't it possible, that this problem has resulted by the missing LibreLogo_en_US.properties of the --with-lang 'fr_FR' (instead of --with-lang 'fr_FR en_US') configuration, and it can be solved by copying of LibreLogo_en_US.properties to the git/libo/install/share/Scripts/python/LibreLogo directory? Binary distributions in my tests contain all properties files of LibreLogo, including the en_US one, but maybe French and Dutch are different. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
