Yes, it certainly looks like a duplicate.
The problem can no longer be reproduced with version 4.0.3 (tested on Windows
XP).

I have taken the liberty to set the status of this bug report to
resolved/duplicate.

Timur, thank you for comparing and trying to match all these bug reports with
docx. There are indeed a lot of these and the differences are often hard to
find (or similar from a user POV, but quite different with respect to the
developer).

Problem of this bug is still present with version 4.0.3 (tested on Windows XP),
so fixes for other bugs (like bug 60922) have not fixed this problem.

This bug report seems to be a duplicate of bug 52226 indeed; I have marked this
bug as such.

I don't know if bug 63059 is also a duplicate, I leave that to the reporter of
bug 63059.

ZIP containing ODT/PDF illustrating how to footnote a caption.

It is possible to insert a footnote into a caption, as the attached shows,
however it requires a bit of work. The problem is not the caption, but rather
the frame that encloses the graphic and caption, and which is automatically
generated when inserting a caption. I am therefore going to resolve this bug as
a duplicate of bug #48534.

Screenshot of the conditional formatting dialog not accepting a named range
reference,

Problem description:

When working with conditional formatting, the rules are automatically adjusted
when, for example, additional cells are inserted in an affected range. The user
ends up with several rules for copied cells or altered rules for ranges which
don't include the newly inserted cells.

It would be great if the user were able to use named ranges for conditional
formatting. These rules would not have to be automatically adjusted for changed
cell ranges, but just always refer to the same named range.

However, in the editing dialog for conditional formatting rules, the input
entry for Range only accepts cell references, not references to named ranges.
If entering the name of a named range, its background turns red and the
formatting rule is not accepted.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select some cells in an empty Calc document (e.g. A1:B9)
2. Create a named range by entering 'testrange' into the Name Box.
3. Choose Format - Conditional Formatting - Condition
4. The Range: field displays the selected cell range as A1:B9
5. Enter the defined name testrange into the field.

Current behavior:
The background of the Range: field turns red and the conditional formatting
rule cannot be created.

Expected behavior:
The conditional formatting rule is created for the named range and affects all
cells that are part of the named range. Subsequent changes to the named range
definition do not alter the conditional formatting rule, which constantly
refers to the range name.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.0.2.2 release

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64234] Feature request- Footnote NUmber font config

Created attachment 79230

ZIP containing ODT/PDF illustrating how foot/end notes can be styled.

The ability to style the anchor (in-text citation superscript identifier) and
character (in-note numeral, alphabetic, or symbolic identifier) already exists.
There are four character styles that can be modified to set these elements, in
italic or a colour for example, if so desired:

- Endnote Anchor
- Endnote Character
- Footnote Anchor
- Footnote Character

Unless further evidence is forthcoming that the original request is for
something in addition to or other than this, I recommend this bug report be
resolved as NOTABUG.

Thank you for your comment, however this bug report refers to the technical
side of things (the handling of footnotes not being consistent between ToC and

--- Comment #1 from Markus Mohrhard markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com ---
I'm sorry but there are several limitations that prevent us to implement this.

We need to store the conditional format range in the cell attribute storage
which forces us to make it explicit and we don't want to have a dependency
between named ranges and all the ugly parts that we need for conditional
formats.

Additionally the name Named Range or Range Name is misleading and we would
need to parse the range name to check that it is only a range list and not a
complex expression.

All in all I don't think that the benefit of this feature out-weights its
problems. Additionally this would require the next major refactoring of the
whole conditional format code which is a several month task as it affects all
parts of the calc core code.

With MacOS you can select several files at one time and do the OPEN command
(from the System).

With 1 file, its works fine.

With 2 or more, it do not works with LibreOffice : an error message appears
indicating that f-the file dosen't existe (the file name is concatenate with
all the file name).

I do not remember from which version it do not works, but in the old time it
has worked (perhaps when it was OpenOffice)...

Major problem with Bangla writing

Problem description: Word spacing problem

Steps to reproduce:
If I continue to type Bangla with iBusBengali-Avro Phonetic, no matter what
the bangla font is, after a while it will create a problem. The spacing between
words are not correct.

Another problem is if I open this document in windows with MS Office 2003 the
words all appear as square.

I've attached a document, just go through the words and you will notice the
problem.

 (6) Reject all changes made. The complete insertion in step (2) should be
deleted. Instead, the part deleted by user 2 in step (4) is kept in the
document plus the text inserted by User 1 following the word deleted by User
 2.

Confirmed with:
LO 4.0.2.2

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

Interdependentant edits (deletions inside insertions) are correctly kept in
LO's internal data structures, but not properly saved to file and lost on
 reload of the document.

Could not reproduce. Added 1 2 3 as user 1, saved document, opened and deleted
2 as user 2, saved document, opened as user 1 and deletion by user 2 is
visible.

Looks a valid enhancement request, therefore marking it as such.
Looks also very related to Bug 63035, so I place it in the 'See also' field.
Michael M also specify some code pointers over there. So anyone who is
interested in fixing this - take a look at bug 63035 for code pointers.

I can reproduce this on OS X 10.8.3, LO 4.0.3.3.

Setting platform to all.

Maybe a dev could have a look at this and leave a note if this is fixable on LO
side of things or if this is plug-in related and thus NOTOURBUG.

Also I'm a bit puzzled about how the extension page deals with such situations.
Imo the extension at
http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/openclipart-org-integration
should be marked broken. What good is it, if users try to install extensions
that have proven to be broken?

To find the earliest use of ~/.config I guess we should put a breakpoint in
__cxa_throw and run without the directory existing :-)

I -imagine- this is from desktop/source/app or desktop/source/deployment - but
of course it could easily be in configmgr.cxx.

It'd be good to have a stack-trace for that.

It seems like: sal/osl/unx/security.c is prolly a good place to look at first:

#define DOT_CONFIG /.config

static sal_Bool SAL_CALL osl_psz_getConfigDir(oslSecurity Security, sal_Char*
pszDirectory, sal_uInt32 nMax)
{
sal_Char *pStr = getenv(XDG_CONFIG_HOME);

if (pStr == NULL || strlen(pStr) == 0 || access(pStr, 0) != 0)

Patches most welcome (turned it into an easy-hack) - thanks !

For example could not find a driver for this URL or something.

Does a connection setup with an older version still work, or same error

Maybe the MacAB driver is just deactivated / not built / ... in master?

As far I can understand from your bug report you would like to sort a date,
first sort by year, then sort by month, then by date... but can't you sort a
data using the Calc feature: Data Sort...?

If not, please attach a sample document and a more precise description of what
you can't do with calc.

Kind regards,

This file seems to be invalid. I could not open the file in Excel 2010 or the
OOXML SDK. LibO master opened the file at least to some part but also shows the
generic import dialog.

I'll build a 4-0 build to check why it might crash 4.0.3

Actually it looks like you did not save your file, you seem to have saved the
website showing the file.

Looking at the file with a text editor reveals that this is clearly not an
Excel file. It is not even a html file where we could import a table or
something like that. I'll see if I can reproduce the crash but this is clearly
a minor issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64533] New: Check out of .doc and .docx documents over CMIS does not properly redirect to working copy file

2013-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64533

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 64533
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Check out of .doc and .docx documents over CMIS does
not properly redirect to working copy file
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: marsv...@gmail.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: filters and storage
   Product: LibreOffice

Expected result:
Checking out ms office documents in LibreOffice over CMIS on Alfresco should
work as expected.

Observed behaviour:
MS Office documents are checked out on the Alfresco side, however, LibreOffice
does not redirect to the working copy and cannot save changes.

Steps to reproduce:

Add your Alfresco as a connector in LibreOffice
Create a new .doc (or .docx) document and save it in Alfresco
A working copy is created in Alfresco, but LibreOffice still has the original
document open.

The above works just fine with .odt documents, so perhaps the file saving is
handled differently for .doc and .docx documents over CMIS? It works just fine
to save documents without checking them out first.

Confirmed with:
LO 4.0.2.2
Build ID: own W7 debug build
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

Move/copy to the same document works fine - 11 named ranges are copied.
Move/copy to the other document - 9 named ranges are copied; betalings_perioder
and terminer are missing. nper, which uses terminer is therefore broken.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63993] Wrong cursor position for non-latin text in Web Layout

2013-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63993

--- Comment #10 from Khaled Hosny khaledho...@eglug.org ---
(In reply to comment #9)
Khaled, do you think this is independent from your harfbuzz rework, or just
a fallout from that, so nothing we can backport?

You can test the old layout engine by setting SAL_USE_ICULE env variable, with
Callibri I don’t get any visible rendering at all with the old engine, so
probably the issue was accidentally fixed by the switch to HarfBuzz.
