[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67560] Draw: PNG export options not remembered
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67560 --- Comment #4 from crx...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to comment #2) Additional info: It seems to automatically select a transparent PNG (good) but only saves it at a low resolution. I will point out that it is not good that it automatically selects the transparent option every time. It should remember the previous selection of the user. There are times you want it to be non-transparent and if you have to export several things, having to turn it off each time is annoying. If it remembers mode it should remember transparency. I believe it is a good default to have it selected on the first time ever used, however. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56899] FILESAVE: Export dialogue should remember settings for consecutive exports (within session)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56899 crx...@hotmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ba...@quipo.it, ||crx...@hotmail.com --- Comment #2 from crx...@hotmail.com --- I just came on to report the same issue. It is very annoying that LO doesn't remember what export file format was previously used, at least during a session. Although I think it would be good to remember it even across sessions. With graphics, 90% of what I export is png. And there are times I have to export 10 or 20 things in a row. Why in the world is the default html! This would be a simple/easy fix that could save lots of time for the end user and make for a more friendly experience. I am not sure if the selection option should be remembered or not, even depending on what file type was chosen. I tend to think it should be remembered (as long as setting it is valid for the file type). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This bug applies only to HTML Documents. Normal Text Documents (.odt) are handled correctly AFAICT. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new HTML Document. 2. Insert 2x2 cells table. 3. Go to Table Properties (Table Format) - Borders 4. Set inner and outer borders, width 1, solid black (so they should be visible). 5. Set Spacing to Content, all four values to 2 cm / 1 inch or similar. 6. Press OK and exit the format dialog. 7. Insert sample content in all four cells, for example 1, 2, 3, 4. 8. Select all four cells and center text from the toolbar. All sample content must be now dead center inside the cells, both horizontally and vertically, showing that padding is correct. 9. Save the document to disk and close LibreOffice. 10. Open the document with a web browser. The padding is off, specifically : right padding missing in the two left cells, top padding missing in the two bottom cells. 11. Re-open the document in LibreOffice. Same error as in web browser. If you go to Table Properties - Borders, Spacing to content shows 0 in all directions. Current behavior: Explained in steps 10 and 11. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69603] writer hangs going to second page
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69603 --- Comment #3 from Terrence Enger lo_b...@iseries-guru.com --- Created attachment 86316 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=86316action=edit chopped-down test file I created the attached file, chop30.odt, by deleting most of the content and then adding empty paragraphs to bring part of the original item 4.1, now renumbered item 1.1, to the bottom of the first page. Here is how I created the loop: ( 1) Open the file. ( 2) Type ctrl-End up up. Cursor is above item 1.1; program is *not* displaying the message in the terminal. ( 4) Enter. Item 1.1 moves to page 2; program is not displaying the message in the terminal. ( 5) Give focus to emacs, where I am typing this comment, and return focus to LibreOffice. Program displays the message in the terminal about once per second or a bit faster. ( 6) Type up down. Program is responsive, and it stops displaying the message for a while. ( 7) Type down. Program loops, displaying the message several times per second. For comparison, a small change to the document leaves the program responsive when the cursor goes onto the second page: ( 8) Open the file. ( 9) Delete the first (1-line) paragraph. (10) Type ctrl-End up up. Cursor is above item 1.1, which is close to the bottom of the page. (11) Type Enter Enter Enter. Item 1.1 moves to page 2; no warnings in terminal. (12) Type up down. Program is responsive; no warnings in terminal. (13) Type down. Cursor moves to page 2; the program is responsive; no warnings in terminal. Along the way to this report, I found that another way to avoid the loop is to shorten item 4.1 (as originally numbered) so that it occupies only one line. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63438 Neutrino redirect.n...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|enhancement |normal --- Comment #2 from Neutrino redirect.n...@gmail.com --- For two reasons I'd have thought the fact that it doesn't do this already would actually be a bug and not an enhancement request. 1) The whole point of the highlighting feature is to be able to easily highlight and unhighlight sections of text, and currently there is no way to unhighlight text at all without resetting your configured highlight colour to No Fill, which is obviously extremely unhelpful as it obliges you to have to manually reapply your preferred highlight colour every single time you unhighlight something. 2) Clicking Highlight again to unhighlight is the way all other word processors support this feature and there is no reason why Libre Office should implement this any differently. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61868] EDITING: highlighter tool displays wrong colour
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61868 --- Comment #2 from Neutrino redirect.n...@gmail.com --- Confirming that in 4.1.1.2 on Win7 x64 this bug seems to be even worse. If you have nothing selected then clicking the Highlighting toolbar button changes the cursor to a ‘paint fill’ style cursor. Clicking anywhere in the document or clicking the highlighting toolbar button again reverts the cursor to normal. FIX: More useful behaviour would be for the Highlighting button to just do nothing when there is no selection (wouldn't want to disable the button since you still want to be able to use the dropdown to reconfigure the highlight colour). Using the drop down on the Highlighting toolbar button to change the highlight colour has the same effect as selecting Highlighting with no selection as described above. Additionally the coloured block under the Highlighting toolbar button that is supposed to display the currently selected highlight colour does not change colour at all. FIX: Changing the highlight colour in this way should just change the highlight colour without activating highlight mode. (Optional) if a highlighted block of text is selected then the block’s colour could also be updated to the new colour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Let its subnodes be hidden- No issues with that! But the problem is that the entire Headings node collapses. This hides the entire structure of the document. Not only that, but LO also loses the focus from the node that is being moved. (In other words, it is no longer selected.) So when I promote a node for the first time, the Headings node should not collapse, and the node should stay selected. Then I can click on the Promote button rapidly to bring the node quickly to a new position in the tree. * BTW I tried the new 4.1.2.2 (RC2) version, but the Headings node still collapses. Are you sure it does not collapse in your case? Sorry I don't agree regarding your view as not a bug. It is definitely usability bug. If I have to move a node, why do I have to try so hard? Even if some designer INTENDED it to behave exactly like this, still it does not make it a usable design. Imagine having a car where the doors are bolted, and you have to enter through window. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69679 --- Comment #1 from Terrence Enger lo_b...@iseries-guru.com --- Examination of Quiz.java shows that carriage-return separates lines. This could well be the trigger for the problem. I have not reproduced exactly only a single statement gets pasted, but I can get the whole file joined together into one paragraph. Since the problem description says the problem is the same on Linux, it is strange that my bad result differs from the reporter's result. Ankur, can you confirm my understanding that you see a different result? When I save the joined together document as an .fodt, I see that the carriage returns are represented as #x0d;. How to get the bad result: (*) Wine Notepad, running on wine, does not recognize the carriage returns in its own display, and the paste into Writer gives everything run together in one paragraph. How to get good results: (*) Writer menu option Insert File produces good results. (*) emacs tells me that Quiz.java is a Mac file, and on input it converts carriage return to linefeed-only (the Linux convention); pasting into Writer works well. (*) gedit is less forthcoming about what it is doing, but the result is good. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68459 --- Comment #2 from mango wodzak mango.wod...@gmail.com --- I'm really not sure what you mean by less expensive. If I use the cut and paste, the frame does not get placed exactly where I tell it to get pasted. It's quite difficult, for example to place a frame directly between 2 paragraphs without using the arrow keys. In any case, the behaviour is erratic, and if the arrow key moves it up to the previous page (which it does!), surely it would just make logical sense that it would move it back down again, (which it doesn't). Also the fact that the frame can get stuck in the footer area is quite annoying and surely merits being listed as a bug rather than an extremely badly thought through feature. Also, there is currently no way to place a frame within a paragraph that started on the previous page. Try featuring such frames in your own writing, I think you will soon realise that the degree of control is minimal and that this needs addressing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
