It seems that the update of this menu at the starting of Writer (even with an empty document) starts a Java VM. This JVM remains started even if we never use the Wiki-Publisher extension. I suggest that the JVM for Wiki-Publisher extension should be started only when the user explicitly uses this extension. A workaround could be to remove Wiki-Publisher extension from the default installation. I attached a backtrace to locate when and where JNI_CreateJavaVM is called. Best regards. After this insertion point, the whole remaining of the initial paragraph is noted as deleted - Comparison by character : same than by word. The coherent text is then noted as inserted. Help says: 1/ Screen font antialiasing Select to smooth the screen appearance of text. Enter the smallest font size to apply antialiasing. 2/ Use Anti-Aliasing When supported, you can enable and disable anti-aliasing of graphics. With anti-aliasing enabled, the display of most graphical objects looks smoother and with less artifacts. When I uncheck the first checkbox the text seems to be still antialiased. When I uncheck the second one, the effect is visible for a presentation with graphics in slideshow mode. Which one did you test ? Best regards. The file-size is 3.38MB, My Hard-drive is an SSD. There should be no lag. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create Drawing with photos in it. 2. Save Drawing to desktop. Current behavior: The app becomes unresponsive for about 3-5mins until it finally finishes saving the file. Expected behavior: File is saved and app is responsive. The ODP created in Win 7 does not display normally in Ubuntu. The text font is different and a very dark gray instead of white. I have no idea whether this is related to the bug I have described. It may be the 3.5 rendering of the ODP created in 4.1, but it may be relevant. Are you sure that Arial font is installed on the machine under Ubuntu? Microsoft fonts are not installed by default on Ubuntu. Best regards. Say: suppose row 1 is frozen, and I have scrolled the bottom rows, so that row 1 is visible but row 2 is not. If I click on A1 and (after editing or not) I press ENTER, Calc wants set current position to A2 (and to show this cell), and then it scrolls up the bottom rows to make it visible.
